ashleys blk ss 12-14-2006, 03:11 PM Hello all. I am a TBSS owner and joined because I wanted to hear what all of you guys have to say about the JCG SRT8 - both good and bad. 'Cause one day I want to own both SUVs. I'm a girl so I don't really tune my ss or go to the track to race it. The most racing I do is when I am on the highway and just like to mess with people. Not trail-rated (dnam (does not apply to me)), not much head room at 6'3" (how tall are you), crap gas mileage, stiff suspension (dnam), can't tow (dnam). Pros? 0-60 mph < 5 seconds, rain, shine or snow!! ;) Actually what first got my attention is the way it looks, I really like the look of this SUV. I knew I was going to buy one before I realized what a serious machine this thing is, which turned out to be a major bonus. Sounds like you drive a lot like I do. And Tony, getting a tune...Hmmm..I would love to but I fear the problems that it might cause in the future. I don't feel like seeing any service engine lights come on sooner than they should be. Or maybe I am wrong...maybe it will promote the longevity of the truck but I am unsure of that. I really want a tune, but if something goes wrong with my truck because of the tune and then the dealer won't fix it because I altered the truck..oh boy..my father would be livid and I dont know if I want that lol...tell me the benefits and disadvantages of a tune..then maybe I will consider getting one. BTW..I saw you and matt from tune time at Atco on the 18th...You probably had no idea who I was..I wanted to talk to matt about a tune but there were so many other guys around that I was some what shy. Oh well. There's always next time. | ||
