: Engine Temp

I now have 3700K on my Jeep and I have noticed that when I come off the the motorway (freeway) after a period of relatively high speed (90/100mph) and sit in traffic the engine temp soars right over 100 to about 110/120.

It remains like this for at least 2 mins then starts dropping and level of at a normal 90/95.

Is this normal ?

Hi Mark
The SRT temperature runs high. Certainly the temps you mention are not out of order. There has been much discussion over this and in fact there was an online chat with the SRT engineers yesterday. The link below gives you some of their comments

Basically the SRT engineers don't seem worried about the high temps but everyone else does.:D

Normal operating temp is 220 Degrees. Just convert to Celsius and your good.
