: "Perform Service" light came on Untouchable 12-13-2006, 11:11 AM this light has been buggin me for a few days since I turned 2500. What exactly does the 2500 mile service entail and if I was to do it myself how do I resest the light 2MCHPSI 12-13-2006, 03:14 PM It's just a reminder. You can change the frequency if you go through the MENU options. Mine is set to 3,000 and I use it to remind myself to change the oil, check tire pressure, etc. To turn it off, just use the STEP button untill you see miles untill next service, and hold the RESET button. Thats all. If you changed the oil at 1K, then your next step is an oil change at the service interval you decide to follow (i.e. 3K, 4500, 6K).
