GotStroke?

Obviously at some point with H/C catching on, someone's going to want more rpm to take advantage of the more efficient parts. Does anyone have any idea (Matt?) how good the stock 6.1 rotating assembly really is? I see the crank is forged (4340?), but what are the rods/rod bolts rated at? Any idea on max safe rpm for the stock shortblock?
Thanks

Thanks It runs at 6450 rpm now, Max HP? Rods are built like the stock LS2 rods so that may help you there. (powdered metal material) Some new custom internal parts will be available real soon? Gene

Is our limiter 6450? Mine appears to shift right at 6200rpm, and when left in manual mode seems to bang off the limiter at the same rpm.
Thanks for the rod info. In that case I'm guessing ~450rw tops at or near the stock rpm limit.
Hopefully we'll have some 4340 forged H's and billet I's with ARP hardware coming along sometime soon, and as you pointed out, custom is always another option.
