Cummadog and I went to the Track Experience in Sonoma CA last weekend and I have to say to all that have not gone, GO!!! I watched the Jeep beat all the SRT vehicles, including the Viper, in 2 hot laps where the instructors drove the vehicles with one passenger around the track, and the Jeep beat all of them consistently. None of the other cars could hang. Even out of the pit area it gave the Viper a run for its money. As the Viper was smoking its tires the Jeep beat it onto the track. It was incredible to see what our Jeeps are capable of. I loved my jeep when I first bought it, but now I love it even more. Our Jeeps are truly amazing!
Find out for yourselves and go to the SRT Track Experience and learn how to drive your Jeeps fast and I mean really fast and not to mention safe too. Remember for most its FREE!!!!

Great info thanks for sharing it. That's pretty shocking about the Viper. That's the one SRT I thought would eat up our Jeeps! I'm thinking driver error maybe? That's just flat out amazing! I'm getting goosebumps just thinking about it. I've been trying to get info for my area but now that winter has settled in I may have to wait until spring or summer. I live in the Chicago Metro area and have heard nothing about the Track Experience around here. I wouldn't even mind driving to Michigan or Ohio to attend this event.
Question: Do they have other SRT's you can drive or is it BYOSRT only and do they let you drive the track or does the instructor drive only. Just currious.

You dont drive your own srt. They have about 60-80 srt vehicles that you get to beat on all day!!

WOW. When I went to the SRT Track Experience at LimeRock in CT last month, the Vipers were smoking everything during the hot laps. I watched the Vipers pass a Jeep and Charger. My hot lap was in the Viper which was able to hit high 140's on the straight away while the other SRT cars could only hit 120's on the same stretch.

If they were giving there 100% effort into racing the viper would have taken the cake for sure. But during those hot laps they just couldn’t get it done.

I agree last year in Englishtown while on the closed circuit I got the Viper in the 120's on the straightaway and the Jeep got up to 108. The Viper was stock and the Jeep had a Mopar cold air intake and Upgraded Cat back exhaust. The Jeep definitely handled itself well but the Viper smoked it unfortunately.

If you purchased an SRT, you already paid for it. Just sign up with your VIN number and go.
If not, go to the SRT site and sign up, cost is $500 I believe.

My jeep will be here in a couple of weeks. Does anybody know if, where and when they come to the east coast?

FASTJEEP, the ones near Chicago are in Joliet or up at Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin at the Road America track. The SRT people just told me that their 2010 schedule would be released in February.

I went in July in Englishtown NJ. It was a blast. They did not let anybody drive the Viper only hot laps for selected few. We were only able to drive the Jeep in the 1/8 mile and the autocross. I did take the hot laps in the Jeep though. Can't wait to go again.
"For those who have not gone GO!!!" I think you only have 1 year from purchase to register.
