Hmmm, I think I prefer the more understated Mopar rear spoiler instead.

I'm really liking the appearance of the Mopar one. I just wish it were a little longer. Something like the spoiler on my father's V70 R wagon. However, I think that might hit the window when it was open.

I presently have the mini painted Mopar spoiler that quite frankly looks good but doesn't really accomplish much. So I bought the larger piller mounted smoked Mopar spoiler but I don't think it will look compatible with our GC SRT8s. Your "find" seems like an excellent solution, especially if painted to match. I say go for it and show us the results. dlw

I plan to have one of these spoilers soon and I'll post pictures as soon as I get it on.

By the way, if anyone orders one tell them **************** sent you.

I am not trying to advertise my site, but just giving fellow ethusiasts a discount (which is a mystery number and doesn't occur until your bank statement)

I like my Mopar spoiler, it is small and subtle.

I wonder if there is any aerodynamic advantage to these things.

I got one of the Mopar spoilers, and it netted me a 3.75 mph gain in the quarter mile!!

also please try to figure out if it keeps the tailgate any cleaner.

Won't keep the tailgate clean at all. Other than visual gains (if so you like), there will be nothing in the performance area.

The vehicle is basically a box in the rear, and this leaves a HUGE low pressue turbulant area that is essentially a vacuum. The spoiler just exctends the high pressure area a few inches from the roof, and drop the pressue further back.

The rear spoiler essentially cannot add to the areodynamic effeciancy of this vehicle.

I could give details if you would like?

It's all in the details, I'm sure. Go ahead. You know you wanna.

That's the thing, I actually don't. I had written about aerodynamics/rake and frontal area in another post, and if no one cares, and is happy with it's a spoiler for visual effect only, I'm good with that.

True true. I bought it for looks (thank goodness)...... it does absolutely nothing functionally.

I hate to disagree, but my best friend's, uncle's, next door neighbor is an engineer at Chrysler and he swears that the Mopar spoiler creates 142 lbs of downforce, adds upwards of 250 RWHP and will cut your 1/4 mile time down to the sub 9 second range.

So there.

Hello All, here is a picture of my rear spoiler I got from Lund it is it is called the rear window deflector.I got it at speedycarparts, it was about $80 bucks and 50 to paint it. It also does a good job of keeping the rear window clean. Let me know what you guys think.

Looks okay, but I'm thinkin I like the other one. I saw it on SheriSRT8. I'm gonna have to pick that one up eventually. Maybe if I saw yours in person I would feel different.

It does'nt look out of place, looks pretty good. If you like it, thats what counts. For the price, seems like a bargain.:)

I don't mind it as far as spoilers go, although I am going to stay spoilerless.

NO NO NO. The Mopar spoiler is a 5 minute (and that is being VERY generous) mod. No drilling. It's just wping the surface with an alcohol swab, then lining the spoiler up, and pulling a tab that removes the cover on the 3M tape. It's cake.

I have that spoiler posted above (Lund) and I love it. I have it in Black Clear Coat to match my paint. 2 minute install, if that. But I also have the roof racks.
