its only been 4 and a half months and i've already been in two accidents. the first one with a f*cktard meter maid backing up into my front bumper two months after i get my car while on my way to work.

the second one happened yesterday while also on my way to work. a 75 year old lady driving a S600 decides to make a left turn on a red and plows right into me as i was going straight. i'm scared s#hitless and end up riding my jeep up onto the corner curb. i'm pretty shaken up, fearing i had run a pedestrian over. i get out of my car and i see a bumper in the middle of the road and debris everywhere. i take a walk around the jeep and everything is still intact... unbelievable! she pulls over and i realize the bumper laying in the middle of the street was hers. the damage i incurred from a straight on collision to my driver side door and rear passenger door are minimal (see pics).

i totally thought these american made cars would have blown up if in an accident like this but it amazed me to see that i came away with minimal damage while her car had to get towed away. the jeep truly is a BEAST!

good thing is that three people pulled over and gave me their info as witnesses... one was a district attorney for the city of santa monica and another was a doctor. they parked their cars and came running towards me to let me know that they all saw her run the red light and hit me. the DA was going in the same direction as me and the old lady actually turned right in front of her before hitting me.

with this kind of damage to the doors, how would they fix this? please don't tell me bondo. it's a brand new car and i would like brand new doors!!

So there is a benefit of driving a 5000 lb SUV ;)

It looks like it should be a easy repair.

I feel for you. Looks like she just tapped you by the damage. Should be a couple of new doors and a touch of paint and good as new. I bet her bumper will cost more then your whole repair.

Needless to say, the lady was loaded... address was in Bel Air, called W.I. Simonson Mercedes on the spot for a loaner car, and had diamonds dripping from every finger/earlobe.

If I was anything like the shady folks who live here in LA, then I would've been screaming "my neck, my back... my neck and my back!" But I don't do that s#it cause it fcuks up insurance rates for everyone and as we all know, insuring our cars ain't cheap.

Paul, I still ain't get my damn bumper fixed and now this!!

Are you 100% sure you don't need to be checked out by a doctor?:D

lol! i'm pretty sure... though i wouldn't mind a turbo or supercharger. sh!t, i wouldn't mind a borla as i can't see myself droppin a g for an exhaust upgrade that has minimal hp gains.

if i claim injuries, i won't be able to work out, turn my neck, check out girls.... it's too much of a hassle. hahaha... and besides, karma is a biznatch!

Personally I think that in order to draw social security you should forefit your license. But thats just me.

good thing you didn't get hurt and the Jeep wasn't that badly damaged. It does suck getting into an accident!

Driving a S600, I don't think she needs social security, but I agree.

Sorry to hear about all your bad luck. With all your jeep shop time, I guess that's one way to keep the mileage down and save money on gas ;)
