That just sucks!!!

Mine came from Don with wheel locks, thought they were standard.

Did anyone else's come with wheel locks?

Mine is loaded and doesn't have wheel locks. I have some on order though :)

Gotta say, that sucks! Mine had locks when Don delivered it. Don't believe their std..... Thinkin the thief probably has them posted on E-bay or Craigslist.

Grip Grip
09-20-2008, 10:57 AM
Mine didn't come with them either. The problem is, most of us keep the key to them in our Jeeps, so all the thieves have to do is search around and find it. Better hide it well, I do.

08srt8Calgary
09-20-2008, 11:04 AM
My stocks def didnt come with locks, but the 22's did. Like Anth said tho- you need to have the key handy when you need it, but not so handy that the guy trying to grab your rims can find it in the glove box.

Joel, They don't come standard with wheel locks. You have to add them. A wise $40 investment. However, they make sockets that take the locks off with an impact. All a person needs is one of these sockets and a battery impact and they are gone. It's sad people have nothing better to do then take personal property. I am all for taking a hand off in these situations if they are ever caught. :thinkerg: :D:D

BTW, sorry for your loss. I cannot immagine the horror one feels when the walk out the door and see such a site.

Okay, how the hell do they take them off when the car is on a slant like that? I know they jack the car up and then remove the wheels one at a time but doesn't anyone notice this?

RichieRacer
09-20-2008, 09:31 PM
they jacked up one side stole the rims dropped it... then jack up the other side and do the same they put bricks so they can get the jack out... i saw the srt jeep rims on a wrangler and commander u guys got 5 lug they probally fit any chrysler jeep dodge

silverbullet
09-20-2008, 09:35 PM
Yeah, but I don't know about you, but it takes me some time to remove the lug nuts and rims. Unless they have a power wrench, it must take them atleast a few minutes to do all four.

Funny thing, when they stole my wheels they left the following:

-$500 cash in the glove compartment
-$400 Valentine radar detector on the dash
-$1,200 golf clubs in the hatch

They must of really wanted the wheels to just leave everything else in the Axiom.

Sorry, I was very ambiguous in what I stated.

I actually had 20" Bazo B4's (I think) with nice tire on the Axiom at the time with wheel locks. They broke the passenger window and took the lug nut key out of the center console, and proceeded to only steal the wheels and tires.

Up here we are barely allowed to own guns and definately not allowed to use them. Last year some crazy broad sent 2 guys to kick the $hit outta her ex and let them know everything about this guys home. These 2 guys broke in home invasion style with duct tape and all sort a $hit and instead of grabbing a timid guy sleeping in bed - they ran head first into glock muzzle flash. 1 guy dead, other guy a vegtable and a home owner charged with 1 count of manslaughter and 1 count of agrivated assault with a deadly weapon. Being that he had the gun and the other guys only had bats and knieves the court system here says he went to far. I say your retarded for brining a knife to a gun fight.

Big cities KILL cars. It's impossible to keep a car nice in a metro area. There's too many people, bad valets, ultratight parking, potholes, taxis, etc.

The suburbs and the country rule. No theft, big driveways, your own garage. That is livin'.

I guess everyone has been a victim of wheel theft including me. It happen to me at my job back in the mid '80's. I have been a fan of wheel locks ever since. I keep my key hidden, but not in the cab. I went to lunch at work and came back to this.....
