What's up guys... New to this forum...

I may pick one up tomorrow.... New 2008, fully loaded, black for $46K...

Is that a good deal? Please advise... Thanks :)

I also thought I could learn more about modding the GC SRT-8 from this forum.

I've been using the search button and found a lot of good information, although I'd appreciate it if anyone could point me to a right direction since there are a lot of options out there.

I'm looking for a "sleeper" mod and strictly performance... e.g.

...I'd like an exhaust, headers, hi-flow cat sytem that would gain max. performance, but without pissing off my neighbors with loud exhaust note...
or... upgrading the suspension (handling) but without "slamming" the car.

In essence I'd like to modify my car to maximum (but safely, without risking too much reliability of the car... but still maintaining the stock look...

Also, is there any good and reliable performance shop around North Eastern PA or NJ that I can bring my car to do performance work?

I know these are a lot of questions, but these questions will really help my decision on purchasing this beast tomorrow...

TIA guys... I'd really appreciate your help...

- Joe

p.s. The dealership is offering me with MOPAR exhaust and CAI... are they any good?

You can do better than MSRP these days. Great choice though. :)

Thanks for the quick response :)

Wow... is 46K a rip off? What is considered to be good price for brand new?

I have attached the Window Sticker Price... the $41,145 plus ALL the options $48,305...
They are giving me $2,377 discount, thus the final sale price is $45,928.

Dealership is located in North Eastern PA.

Thanks again!!!

A good price is Invoice less 500. Champion sells them for that price and they deliver to your front door. Look for a Black clear coat one and not the Brilliant Black.;)

Thanks man... As you mentioned a good price is 500 under the invoice price...

I did a research on the invoice and I found that the invoice price with ALL the options the car have is $46,375... minus $500 = $45,875

The dealership is offering me $45,928 as the sale price, therefore, based on my research, I was assuming that they are selling me the car under the invoice price... however I was apparently wrong... please help me out...

Thank you!!!

p.s. I have attached the screenshot of the MSRP vs Invoice

AGREED!!! EXtassy, you should be saving over 4g's on it, especially with todays economy. You can get a New 09 for what they quoted you on an 08.

Thanks for the advice guys...

Just picked up the beast last night, found a demo car 43K... Fully loaded incl. the Kicker sound system... It may still be a bit expensive, but it was the the exact color and specs that I wanted... and... I get to play with the car this weekend... what can I say... I'm an impulsive buyer LOL :) I just have to have it right away...

Will be taking pics soon :)
