I just had my tires replaced yesterday due the Goodyear recall. I noticed an oil leak where I park this morning. I wiped it up with a rag and took a smell. It smells like gear lube. I jacked the truck up to see where the leak is coming from. The underside is dry. The passenger side wheel well is very wet and it appears the source is the shock absorber.
Normal? Should I schedule warranty work?
Thanks in advance.

JayI had a 04 JGC with what you are saying, took the jeep in only to find out that there was TSB out saying that this type of leak was OK,and they would not pay for new shocks to be installed. If I were you though I would check it out, it may be a repeat performance, good luck

Thanks, I will be calling service this morning. I checked again this morning when I pulled out, it is continuing to leak. It feels like it is driving the same.

To install run flats, they do need to use some thick lubricant on the rims similiar to gear lube. The tire dealer may not have wiped the excess clean. When I had my run flats checked for the recall, the Goodyear dealer did leave some lube on my rims (looked like a glob of lube). Not sure if this is your issue. But if it was on your rims and you drove, it may have sprayed all over your wheel well.

Good point, I will check again.
I have an appointment Friday morning to take it in.

Update...
Just got a call back from service, my steering gear is bad which is causing the power steer fluid leak down in the passenger wheel well and along the shock. National back order on the steering gears so I am told I can drive it until the part is available.
BTW, Indy owners, Champion Jeep service is pretty d@mn good. I didn't buy my truck there as they were more expensive but their service is excellant.

The tire pressure monitoring system in the manual clearly states do not use any lube or grease etc when installing the new tires the lube will get into the tire sensor and you will get a TPM sensor failure on the EVIC. Trust me read your manual.
