The factory is about 18 as shown to me on a light meter at the tint place I went to.

The places usually have 15 or 20 as the Crook stated. I have the 15 out here in CO where they dont really bother you much. I have 20 on my XJ for 10+ years and never had a problem. Pulled over twice for speeding. I had the window down by the time they got up to it.

The 15 is dark. If I were concerned I would get the 20.

Good choice. 20% is dark enough. 15% might be too dark to get you in trouble.

I live in IL, where it is ILLEGAL to have any tint on the front windows... well I went with LIMO on the 2 front, and had all the rears matched. Sometimes I wish I would have done the winshield as well, like I did on my Cobra, but that may come later...

Damn that tint on the gc is dark as hell. Any problems at night?

You must be a cop or something to NOT get rolled on all the time, i went w/35% on the fronts, looks classy and doesnt' affect vision at all. I had 20% for a bit but got heat on the highways from the troopers. Went back to 35%'s and no issues.
