Problem: Song name playing on cd player / satellite disappears every x seconds; I want to keep the track name from disappearing. Searching the forum I found this response:

"Go in to the navigation system setup and I believe under the clock menu there is a setting for display clock large or small, you have to change it to small."

I tried this and did not see the option for the clock size. Anyone know?

yes I've tried everything I know to get it to hold the info but it doesn't. Frustrating isn't it:(

Does the clock display in large numerals in the upper left?
If so, you must change clock to "small" as described in original reply. It will place the clock in the lower right corner and the song info will remain. I have a 2006 and the clock setting is definitely under the navigation system setup. Do you have a 2007?

Yes sir, '07 it is..which should have the same nav hu/software as 06..as far as I know.

In the menu you're referring to, I only have clock source option (gps/user specified) as well as daylight savings time & time zone. Nothing that has to do with the size of the clock.

I have nav software (data disc) ver 05064033A.

So I went to take a photo of the menu when, lo and behold, I notice a button on the unit labeled "Time" (of all things). When pressed, the large clock in the top left of the display is replaced by a small one at bottom right, and track info stays up indefinitely.

I was going nuts looking for this, dealer connect and the Star center were no help. They did change the software for the 07, they all came with AE but the bigger change to the menu seems to be the addition of the back up camera. The old big clock small clock settings in the menu are no longer there. I will have to try this one, and see if there is any mention of it in the Nav manual.
