: Bwoody lowering springs ISSUE!!!!

Yup, it was only a matter of time before the first issue came up and guess what, its mine!

The springs went in last week no problems there. I made sure that they were even indexed in during the install to make sure that there are no levelling issues.

Fast forward a few days. I now noticed that the left rear sits a bit lower than the right rear. About 1/2", enough to notice that the left is lower than the right when viewed straight on from the rear.

What to do now? Andy, please contact me and discuss?

Damn, they work so well too. The ride is amazing.

Sorry for your troubles. You actionally only need to post in the MHP forum or you will have two threads going back and forth.

Did you get under your rig to see what's up? Did a coil break or something? Post up some pics.

Andy contacted me via email and PM. He has forwarded my issue to Bwoody.

Great customer service from Andy at MHP. Outstanding person!!!

I think a couple people including myself had this same issue. Would be interested in the fix when you hear back from Bwoody.

So, what did you do? Are you still using the springs?

Here we go again; hope it's something small that can be corrected quick and easy before I return from Korea and put them on in 50 more days but who's counting, I am of course

LOL isn't this half the fun of modding? Eibachs have their issues of bottoming out and having a 'softer' ride.

WE get the damn one wheel low rider look!

Right now Eibach is fixing their issue....let's see who wins, hahaha!
Honestly though, sorry to hear about the issue...I know noone wants to deal with either the Eibach or Bwoody issues, would just rather it work out from the beginning.

Andy asked me to post this as he got hold of something last night that did'nt sit well with him and he's a lil under the weather.
I talked to the manufacturer of the springs this morning and he asked if we could verify a few things before we start pulling springs off and shipping them around the world. Worst case mhp, bwoody and the manufacturer will make this right, lets just see if we can figure it out first.
1. are both rear springs installed the same way. that means as you look at them in their relaxed position, there are more coils on one end. the end with more coils goes towards the top. in this picture all 4 springs are sitting on there tops. notice the amount of coils.

2. are both springs mounted the same from side to side. meaning are the end points in the same position on both sides, mirror images of each other.

3. is the lower spring sitting in the rubber holder properly?
http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g3/bwoodymike/100_1700.jpg
you cant see it in this pic, but there is a stop on the rubber spring holder on the bottom, that the spring must be up against. if the spring is not against the stop it will cause the problem we are hearing about. the farther away from the stop the higher the side will sit. if you can check these few things and post the results we can procede from there.
i also talked to andy and asked if any measurements were taken with the stock springs to see if there was a difference then also. let us know what you find
thanks

Seeing as I'm waiting for mine to come in..... I am glad to see this issue being taken care of. I wouldn't expect anything less from you guys. Thanks and can't wait. How about people posting that HAVE NOT had any issues as well...... I'd hate for this to be a one sided ordeal. Everyone would think that EVERYONE is having issues when maybe just only a handful of peolpe are having issues.
