whats up guys anyone else a lil pissed about the srt8 charger and mag coming with the option to make them all wheel drive. I liked that our jeeps where the only ones that had that. Well there goes the neiborhood lol.

HUH? AWD for the LX's? I have not heard about that.

The LX SRT8's are not AWD, only the lower models are offered in AWD. The GC SRT8 is the only SRT vehicle that's AWD(not even the new Caliber SRT4 I believe is only FWD).

Leo, did you hear this from your dealer? The same dealer that had you convinced until the day of release that Borla designed the Mopar exhaust?

Making the aforementioned models AWD would alienate hardcore enthusiasts.

That's consistent with I found when shopping at DCX. Both the 300 and Charger have AWD but not in the SRT8 model. They (LX cars) are rare because the price point and value equation don't really add up to being worth it - even in Canada.

I wanted a SUV-Not a car....Let them come in any format that sells for DCX

hey guys no, i read it in this months issue of car and driver, they have all the srt mag,charger and that new one srt4 not the neon, the new car cant remember the name, lol no black didnt get it from the dealer, i was in cvs, and reading mags, and pic that one up, and had to read it twice, i couldnt believe it. check it out. im not sure if its a late modle 07 or 08 its gonna be a option. but im almost positive it said srt8s will now have option of awd,

ill stop in and get it this way i can tell you exat. what it said, or if you guys see the mag look in it for yourselfs

Nope-- I won't be pissed at all if they introduce them. I wanted an SUV, not a sedan or a wagon.

welllllllllll having those guys be "qucker" then us will kinda suck imo. at least out 0-60 times are fater then them now, but one they go AWD they will be rockets off the line.

Although nice to be quick off the line, I did not buy the JGC to be quicker than the C/Charger/Magnum, or any other car. I bought it cause I wanted it...

yea but i have one too, but to say its a truck its not, cant tow, has no clearence and cant get around in snow lol. all we have is a fast stationwagon lol. i love it and all, but its really not a truck by anymeans

Okay Leo....would you rather call it a car, and maybe have to deal with a gas guzzler tax and some other possible government regulations?.....Not me....call it a truck all day long

Wouldn't the addition of AWD introduce some weight issues? I don't know if it would matter anyway but these aren't light cars to begin with at over 4100lbs. I kind of like the idea for the Charger, definitely my fav of the SRT cars. AWD could be the very thing that helps this car smoke its competition. Besides why not keep it in the Family!! :D

The other SRT cars are cousins. The better any one of them can be the better. Those cars would be great with AWD. To me AWD is a must have, car or SUV. With AWD, thieir MPG would come down closer to ours but the extra money in gas would be worth it in the launch. I have driven all of them at the SRT Track Experience. They need AWD to match us out of the hole.

true, i do love the charger srt, i traded the daytona in for my jeep, but teda wht are you getting so pissed at? all we really have is a very fast awd stationwagon. and thats not a car either, hence the name stationwagon, so guess we wont have to pay the so called tax on that either, besides what the hell are you talking about, i was just saying our truck is not a truck, nobody got this thing cause it was a truck. we got it because of its proformance. not because its a suv, hell i have two 06 jeeps, and they both have no room in the back seats, just try to put a child seat in the back and see how far you have to keep the front seats up lol.. but im in the front so who cares,.. love you teda, enjoy your wagon, I do:)

Leo, Leo, take a chill pill.....I just reread my post and I can't see where I came across as being pissed...Oh, matter of a fact, had two grandkids in back today, one in childseat, one not. Worked for me, and they sure didn't complain.....They just had a hard time deciding if they wanted to watch the DVD, or listen to the B&B get loud. Didn't even have to move the seat up, and I ain't no steering wheel hugging old fart....But all in all, love you too man, enjoy yours. :D

Awd Lx Srt8 = $60,000+ thats most likely why you will probably never see it.

Mine has plently of clearance, what are you using yours for? Some of the guys in snow country used the GC SRT8 last year & were pleased with its performance. And, the Magnum is a Station Wagon the GC SRT8 is an SUV.

arh, i know it is a suv, but really, our so called trucks are not trucks, one it has the least cap, to tow, plus you have to add a special hitch, and what clearance, we even have to watch out for parking liner curbs. and no i repeat no car truck or what ever you want to call it, is good in snow, with anything over 18inc tirs. and dont say you got this because you wanted a suv, you got it because its awsome and fast. im just saying that though it is a jeep and called a suv, nobody really thinks its a suv. be real about it. i am, our engs. are not mad to tow alot, can you yes. but this is not what this "truck" was made for, it was made for kick your ass 0-60 times, anything over 60 and were dogs. and yes i have the mopar cai and exhaust upgrades.
