Parked the beast Saturday night in the driveway after I got home from work. Weather in Chicago was like 15 deg. I get in the car last night and see that 1 tire has lost tire preasure down to 7psi. Filled the tire to 36psi last night around 11pm and this morning I wake up to 16psi in that one tire.

I did a visual inspection and found no nails anywhere around the tire. Any ideas and if its a leak somewhere in the tire does GoodYear cover it since it is way under 1 yr?

Did you check to make sure the valve stem nut is tight??? Apparently they come loose sometimes and some other members here have experienced the problem.

Godfather, I agree with Lincoln. Check to insure your valve stem is tight. You could also have a rim leak, or the valve is not properly sealed against the wheel.

How do tighten that? I took the truck to a local tire guy, not Good year, and he could not find a leak. Took the tire off and put it in water to try and find the problem. Still no luck.

To tighten your valve stems you need a small tool that can be purchased at any Auto Parts Store. It fits inside the valve and goes into the stem...you turn clockwise to tighten. I had 2 loose stems on mine that I tighten when I got home. All 4 tires are at the same pressure since day 1.

Lincoln & Shoda thanks for the advise. No more tire problems now. Another reason why I love this site.

check the inside wheel lip? i had a slow leak that turned out to be a slight bend on the inside wheel lip. seemed to let more air out depending on how i parked and where pressure was applied to the tire.

I once had a similar problem on another vehicle. Sometimes moisture in the stem freezes causing the leak.
