Took it to the dealership the other day for a checkup...they called me the next day saying that it was jacked.:mad: WTF!!! I guess it dosent help I live a stones throw away form Mexico. Now I got to go thought the long process of insurence companys and suing people and after all that...I got to get another one.:cool:

The dealership should have insurance to cover custom vehicles stolen off their lot...you should be in a new jeep ASAP, unless they are a crooked dealership.

Ya the cops said it was probley inside job. Im still waiting to know what was on the video cams but I think someone who worked there just called a bud and told him where the keys would be. They got the keys and just drove off. Five jeeps were taken just on the day around San Diego. Cops said when the Mexican mafia wants jeeps they get jeeps. Ill let you know when I get my new one. If you see any good deals let me know. :o

Sorry to hear this. That happened to me with one of my cars a few years back at a local Ford dealership. Inside job (one of the porters sold the keys to a friend) .......but guess what, dealer NEVER paid a dime. My insurance had to pay......go figure......:mad:

I would think your Insurance would pay and go after the dealer ship to recoup.

I'm just guessing here, but I feel a big fight coming about the value of your Jeep with whatever insurance company you end up delaing with. When they quote you a book value, don't forget to tell them to addt the sales tax and tag price in, that should help a little... Also don't forget the value of any personal items... They are going to settle for as little as they can...

This also happened in Poway several months ago. I went down to see a GCSRT at Wes Hinkle's Chrysler Jeep. They were in the process of changing ownership and five vehicles were stolen off the back lot -- including the GCSRT8.

The manager claimed it was an inside job as well and they found two of the five in Mexico.

It was in good condition so at least it will get back out to the road sometime. Im happy still w my 09.
