I've heard horror stories about my local dealership and servicing SRT vehicles. Does anyone know of a knowledable dealership in new jersey that can perform service on my GC SRT8?

good luck buddy, I'm still looking. . .I just left the dealer I bought the truck from and have started working with Warnock on Rt. 10 in E hanover, I'll let you know if they are any more helpful than the last place, at least Warnock says that they have actual SRT techs. . . we'll see when I bring it in for the brake squeal soon. .. .

Please keep me posted. I teach over in Columbus, NJ so I'm not that far from Warnock. I live in south jersey, however, and bought my truck from Martin Dealerships in Turnersville.

I called Warnock and they confirmed that they have an "SRT Certified" technician on staff. I wonder if this is in fact a legitimate certification or just something they've made up.

i've noticed on the Jeep website that Warnock seems to be getting the most GCSRT8s out of any dealership in the area. when other dealers had 1-2 showing in inventory, Warnock was showing 6.

IIRC from reading this site alot, there is actually a special type of "SRT Tech"

Can you provide an update on this please? Were there SRT techs on site? Thanks

I had my first service done at McDonagh in East Brunswick, I've had issues with there sales but service is top notch.

Baker in Princeton is great too, I bought the SRT and two previous (OIIIIIIO)'s there with no issues, it's a tad far for me to drive for service.

PM if you have further questions

World Jeep in Shrewsbury - So far so good... I've only brought it in for oil changes though.

Warnock has always been pretty good. I had a Durango R/T swapped for a new one under the lemon law and Warnock was top notch to deal with.

I've got close to 20k miles on my SRT8. I think mine was the first GC they started serviving at East Hanover RT 10. They're knowledgeable over there. Oil changes will cost you $90 and then some of the services are real duzzies. Just make sure they tell you how much the service is going to cost you when you drop off and tell them you're not going to pay any more than the estimate. Twice they estimated $100 less than what they actually tried to bill me I had to put a stop to that. They have an enterprise in the building so if you don't have loaner agreement you can rent something pretty cheap.

Other than the low estimates, they know what their doing over there. My truck is faster than ever with 20k miles on it. Breaks in beautifully.

Good luck.

at least Warnock says that they have actual SRT techs.

Thought you guys might be interested in the following question and response from the SRT Engineers during the 1/17 chat session:

I ordered mine from Maplewood Jeep b/c the owner is a friend of mine, but I don't know how the service dept. is with SRT's. However, Buhler Jeep/Dodge in Hazlet has tech's that specialize in SRT's b/c he sell's tons of Vipers. His tech's are certified on Viper SRT10's not sure about SRT8's. If you want to call, the number is 732-264-5000. The owner is Darren. Maybe he can help?

Sorry for the long pause in between updates here, but after the work was done on my truck at Warnock last month (window regulators, oil change, etc.), I posted somewhere else that the TCM flash did not seem to have been done correctly, no auto-upshifting at all.
I contacted the staff at Warnock and was told to make another appt ASAP to take care of it. Today was the first chance I had to bring the truck back and this time they got everything right, Joe (service mgr) and Scott ("SRT" tech), who people have mentioned here before, were great and had me out of there in an hour with a crisply shifting beast, the update is fantastic. Thanks to Warnock for stepping up and getting everything addressed, we also took new pics of my peeling paint on the lower front fascia, so hopefully a new paint job is coming soon as well.
