srt wheels arent chromed...they are polished. Why would you want to paint them.....they are the best stock wheels on the market.

They aren't chrome, they're polished; but we get your point.

If you want to change the colors, I highly suggest powder coating them.

I would love to do something like Blown-WJ's. I just don't know if theres a painter around here that I would trust doing it.

It can be done but its VERY time consuming. I did them myself and it took a whole weekend. The prep work is what takes the longest...lots of taping, sanding, painting, re-painting, clearing etc. I got a quote from a paint shop for ~800 to do them how I wanted. Check out my original post here. http://www.cherokeesrt8.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12182&highlight=painted+wheels

I think they have a clear powder coating on them now. They aren't bare aluminum.

They would need to be media-blasted or hot-tanked, then powder coated. A lot of guys have done them in black. Some of the vendors will do it for $160 a wheel or so.

look for a local powdercoater. Talked to the guy everybody I know uses and he is doing mine for $70 a rim. It's pretty cheap to get done. Cost almost as much as just having the tires removed and put back on
