you could always cut a link out of your springs, i seen chip foose do it before, although most of us probabaly don't have chip's funds to replace the truck if it goes horribly wrong! :)

It's obviously riding at the height the SRT Engineers set it to for a reason. I'll never understand why you'd want to lower it even more....

Rm360 (Randy) has his springs cut 1" I believe. No problems so far. That being said, you do not see me running off to cut my springs. Patience is a virtue, and this forum continues to reinforce that. The majority of vendors spend very little time with R & D in hopes of being first to market and maximizing profits. The SRT engineers have done a phenomenal job with this truck and it is understandable why gains are so difficult to achieve. Luckily, many forum members continue to pour money into these beasts and share a (usually) genuine and honest opinion. Springs will be here soon enough ...

There has been some mention of Eibach coming out with springs however I just talked to them today and no plans as of yet. They simply don't have an SRT8 on hand to take measurements etc. If anyone is around Corona CA call em up and you will probably get free springs!

You don't need to replace the whole truck. The only funds you need are new springs if they don't turn out how you want. How much could that be? 300 bucks?

The engineers have to design the car to appeal to a wide range of customers, it doesn't mean they know how YOU want your ride height. I say lower it if you want. I'm sure when they engineered it they didn't plan to please everybody. They have to compromise.

that's assuming you don't crash burn and die because of the springs

Huh? Why would that happen from cutting a coil?

The spring rates change, for one thing.

Although I did a 2"/4" drop on the my XUV, I do not plan on touching the height of my GC. I think an inch lower all the way around might look a little sweeter, but I don't think it will perform that way under extreme conditions.

I still dont get the connection between changing spring rates and totalling a car? Is that what you're implying?

I never said anything about totalling a behicle, that was boomer. I just answered your question about what would change.
