: Emblem....what happened to SRT8
jstfly 12-01-2006, 09:29 AM Hi Everyone...I finally picked up my 07 GCSRT8 yesterday and found that the SRT8 Emblem was replaced with a HEMI emblem. Is this true of the '07 or is mine screwed up. The emblem I am talking about is in the right hand lower corner of the Trunk.
Untouchable 12-01-2006, 09:34 AM that is horsesh!t
they probably threw that on at the dealer since the original was either not put on or someone jacked it
PsychoSRT8 12-01-2006, 09:35 AM no! it's supposed to be srt8.
jstfly 12-01-2006, 10:43 AM Can someone post a pick of a '07 rear so I can send it to the dealer.

Ink Pump 12-01-2006, 12:09 PM Definitely SRT8 - I thought that would be a factory installed item and not the dealer
This taken from mine just now

Now I've removed all the JEEP emblems all I have is the SRT8 which looks cool. They must get you the right one!
MrHemi 12-01-2006, 12:10 PM I thought the '07 models had body color plastic around the exhaust (instead of the black).

definitely should be a srt8 emblem.
phenwick 12-07-2006, 09:45 AM I've seen badging mistakes before. I had a new GMC badged "Jimmy" on one side and "Sonoma" on the other.
There isn't even a Hemi badge on the SRT8 GC. Hmmmmmmmmmm
psycho; when the dealer swaps it out keep the Hemi and place it on the lower left side!
jstfly 12-07-2006, 11:40 AM Dealer ordered the part and is now recieved. Good idea to put the HEMI on the left side. Thanks for eveyones help.
lincoln 12-07-2006, 03:43 PM Why put Hemi on it? It's not a "real" Hemi...just marketing. Or does it really have hemispherical heads? I've heard no on the recent "hemi".

Yup, they actually do have hemispherical combustion chambers.

The LX SRT8s wear Hemi Badges on the front fenders.

Oh boy. Please do research before making blanket statements such as this.
The modern hemi engines are in fact FULL FLEDGED Hemi engines.

Performance features
1.- Hemispherical combustion chamber
_ _a) High volumetric efficiency.
_ _b) High thermal efficiency, low specific heat rejection.
_ _c) Superior combustion characteristics.
_ _d) Excellent adaptability to higher compression ratios.
_ _e) Lateral valve arrangement, greater valve durability.
2.- Superior manifolding.
3.- High valve lift.
4.- High mechanical efficiency.
