austino 08-19-2008, 07:41 PM Looking to get the corsa. First, I live in a community with tight rules and picky neighbors. How much louder would this be than stock just cruising at low speeds? Is the sound of the srt8's exhaust on the corsa website accurate? Second, where have most have this installed. Can it be bought outside of dealer and taken in for install? Thanks.
ROCKST8R 08-19-2008, 08:34 PM I have the Corsa now and it is not too bad. I have some picky subdivision rules too and it has not been a problem. I actually ordered the Borla S last week because I want it louder. You will not be dissappointed in the Corsa. Good Luck!

ROCKST8R 08-19-2008, 08:36 PM By the way...you could install it yourself. Very easy!! My dealer would do it if I needed to. You might also try a "budget" muffler shop too. My neighbor had one installed on his and it was only $50 or $75 bucks.
OBSRT8 08-19-2008, 09:17 PM My dealer wanted $1350. plus the install. I bought it from one of our sponsors for $1069.00. I was going to install myself until I checked with the dealer. They only charged me $64.00 to do the job.I'm 70 years old and have done my share of under the car work. This seemed like a bargain for me.Good Luck.

austino 08-24-2008, 04:38 PM Anyone ever order this through the dealer and will they match prices? Thanks..

You can order the Mopar(which is Corsa) through your dealer. The price matching depends on your dealer, mine did. Who ever installs, make sure you lube those rubber hangers before take off.

I did it was $1175 +tax and $100.00 to install total= $1364.25. Now thats the MoPar version ( the same as the Corsa ). Since it was dealer bought and installed, everything is warranted and does not affect the factory warranty. Sounds great, under a load. Nice and mellow if you don't put your foot to the floor.

Unfortunately Mopar Performance parts have no warranty.
Mike_Levy 08-25-2008, 10:18 AM They sure do. Any Mopar Performance part purchased and installed by a dealer is covered by the remainder of the new car warranty. They considered OEM replacement parts.

Thanks for informing SRT8, and the rest of the Members on this Board about MoPar Parts and Dealer installs. If I had installed the system myself there would be no warranty on the parts and possibly void the warranty on the GCSRT8.

I'm sorry but that is just silly.

 yeah, that's true because if you do it yourself, you would not be using Chrysler sanctioned tools WHICH in turn can potentially damage the rust protection on the bolts thus accelerating the possibility of rust and damage to said suspension parts
This is not something new, Mopar Performance parts have no warranty. If some dealers warranty them, that is great, mine wont. Read the fine print: http://www.moparperformance.com/
