Has anybody tried removing the resonators and replacing them with just striaght pipes? How loud will it be and will there be any impact on performance?

I have removed the resonators and replaced with 4'' pipes. The sound is great, deep and burbly, matches the GC's image very well, sort of halfway between Stock and a loud Catback. Expect some Drone in the cabin between 1600 and 2000 rpm but very tolerable. Do the search under 'removing resonators' for a bit more info and some pics.
