I was down in California and some kid in a new Mustang GT was showing off to everyone. He was dropping the hammer at ever stop light and becoming very annoying. While I believe in saving it for the track, this kid needed an attitude adjustment. I ended up behind him at a left turn light leading to a wide open road with no traffic. As usual, he took off hard so I just stayed with him. When he saw me in his mirror he went full throttle. I just left it in drive and hammered it myself. He watched me in his side mirror and had the funniest, open mouth, astounded expression I have ever seen as I not only stayed with him but quickly pulled on him and passed him. It was hilarious! :D :D :D I could almost hear him saying to himself, "How can this have happened? It's just an SUV?" That one moment was worth the entire amount I paid for this Jeep.

Nice. I did something similar today. It was some dousche with his girlfriend in a V6 Mustang vert., previous body style. He kept revving his engine at every light we were stopped at, and then getting on and off the throttle next to me, untill the third light we were stopped at. I just hammered it from the light, he never saw it coming. ;) Not bragging that I killed a V6 mustang by any means (my grand prix gtp used to do that at half-throttle), just glad he got an attitude adjustment.

I've had the same thing happen to me. There are a few annoying 'Stang guys in my area and I love pissing them and their girlfriends off.

I did something similar when I had my built 5.9. Some guys in a modded Mustang watched me destroy an Eclipse. He then said he wanted to race me so I told him I would let him have the advantage and we would go from a roll. The guy in the Eclipse pulled up next to me and laughed while telling me the Mustang was going to destroy me. I told him that if the Mustang beat me I would give him and the guy with the Mustang $100 each. We then turned onto the highway and puched it from a 30mph roll. I kept slowly pulling away until over 110mph :) We then hit the next light and the guy was flipping out and wanted to know what all was done to my Jeep. I then asked him since I gave him the advantage on the first run, why doesn't he run me from a stop. He said sure, why not? So we did and I absolutely destroyed him. Something about beating a "sportscar" in an SUV is alot of fun.

Tonight, I hung with a newer GSX-R 600 form a 80 roll to about 145 on the highway.
Of course, he was in 6th the entire time. :D

I was cruisin through Hollywood yesterday when i look in my rear view and see a Maserati. I glanced at the driver and he looked really young (too young to be driving a Maserati). When i looked closer, i saw it was Frankie Muniz (Malcom in the Middle). He pulled up next to me and every inch of my body wanted to show him that he belonged in my tracks, but it was rush hour, and there was no way of getting a piece of open road.
anyway, later i checked out dragtimes.com and turns out i would have beat him in the 1/4 mile. it was a moral victory to say the least. (45K > 110K)
