Absolute crooks. As I've always said, gas prices don't have to be so high it's just crooks like this that got us by the jewels.

Exxon and other oil companies do not have control over oil prices. OPEC and the other governing bodies along with speculators control the price per barrel of oil which dictates the price per gallon for us at the pump. I'm not on their side the least bit, but they are a company and the bottom line is to make money for the shareholders. It's a red hot commodity right now. I wish I could buy some stake in Exxon.....like the old addage goes don't hate the player, hate the game..... more off-shore drilling and tapping ANWAR!

Oh boy, don't get me started about Walmart. The way I see it Walmart is the devil. There is a 2-3hr movie about Walmart, including all their shinanogins like the china nonsense. Profits from monopolies like walmart/****dept don't go to the community they reside in. Oops I'm ranting...

I'm sure the top execs are making 10's of millions of dollars in salary and bonus while people are losing their homes and banks are failing. Its' just sad to see people foreclosing on their house and have to make a choice between buying food or gas but one thing's for sure, these oil tycoons are just getting richer by the day. You know, the Bush family is heavily involved in the oil business.......

What kills me is gas is over $4 a gallon, and "they" are upset because gas consumption is down.

I have seen at least 50-70 new scooters riding around my local area, not to mention more bikes, and motorcycles.

Years ago, the seperation of regular, to super unleaded was like 12-20cents.....now it is like 30-45 cents difference I don't understand that either.

Since when is it a right to own a home? Now it's the oil company's fault for home foreclosures too? How about blame the home buyer who bought more home then they could afford?! How come the government bails out homebuyers who more than likely were speculating the prices would go up but thought wrong? How come the government does't pay me back for all my **** stock picks?

Stop complaining people and live within your means.

And it was slammed by CNBC for the low margin of profit, only 8.4%, compared to say, Microsoft 28%.. I believe their stock fell today b/c of that.:D

I find it very funny that people complain about Exxon profits.

The post about the foreclosures is also pretty funny.

Good for those **** suckers. Due to the fact that OIL is something we NEED, the government should have a lot more control of these ****ing companies.

More power to'em. They have something we want. The market sets the price. They reap the benefits. I don't like high gas prices anymore than anyone else but I'll never hold a grudge against someone making money. Exxon doesn't owe us sh#t. You don't like their profits, don't buy their products.

Why do we get so p*ssed when some one else makes an ass load of $$$$?

Yes, afterwards--otherwise how could you consider it as profit?
