forgive me if this has been answered. I tried to do a search but couldn't find any answers.

Got 2 questions so far that I've been asked many times about my jeep by friends and strangers. And I've only had it for about 2 weeks now. People love the jeep :)

1. Why does the jeep only have 420 hp instead of 425 hp like the rest of the srt8's.

2. How many were made for each year. I did find a nice site that listed the production totals for '06. But has it been noted how many were made in '07?

What I had speculated in the original post was confirmed in the chat with SRT Engineers

What is behind the 5hp loss on the Jeep compared to the other SRT8 cars, Is it due to the restrictive exhaust configuration is there another reason?


SRT Engineers:
The 5 hp delta is due to the packaging space of the exhaust manifolds, the engine bay is much tighter on the WK compared to some of the other SRT8's
