I just downloaded it this morning and will be testing it out after work.

It uses the G meter to measure acceleration. You also have to enter your vehicle weight and it then calculates how much HP is required to accelerate that much weight. Its fairly crude, but the fact that you set your phone it your cup holder and it provides you with this info is amazing. IMHO

No. I got mine back in June 07 a few weeks after they came out and have not had any problems with it. I'll eventually get the new one that works on the 3G network and has GPS. These things kick a$$.

If this worked on your Voyager (or any cell phone for that matter), I would have titled it "People with a Voyager (or cell phone)". It only works on the iPhone, hence the title. I'm sure there are those types of people that think the iPhone is a status symbol, but that doesn't include everyone. I'm sorry if my post offended you.

What weight and drivetrain loss did you enter? These #s affect how the output is calculated. If you enter inaccurate info, you'll get inaccurate info back. I didn't expect it to be balls on, but you're right, it is pretty fun/cool.

I played with it in the Z06 last night it gave me a 0 to 60 of 16.4 seconds. I think I need to take the car back to GM and have them check that it has the right engine in it :eek::eek::p:p:p

I would have to say something is a little off on mine. I would believe the 0-60 at the 0-50 number and if you took 1 second off the quarter that would be believable. Maybe I have too much weight or too much drivetrain loss???

I just got this downloaded as well and will try to get some numbers over the weekend. I can't seem to get the calibrate function to work, and the phole app seems a little buggy. But if they can work out the bugs with some quick software updates, this could be the best $12.99 spent.

When I called the store I found it in front of they said nobody reported a lost phone. Then they asked what kind of phone....Once I told them they were like, now that you mention it YES. bring it down, we will get it back to them. I asked them for the persons # and they said they didn;t leave one...yeah OK!!

just call apple. I'm sure they can direct you the right way.

I actually own the LG EnV, LG Dare, and 16gb 3G iphone and to be honest with you the iphone is the best phone i've EVER owned...period......it's just THAT GOOD.......

I sold my LG Voyager to get the Dare so i'm obviously a huge Verizon/Lg nut but damn the iphone is sick....it's only lacking the video recording or the Dare....

If you owned an iphone you'ed know why people always point it out....

I don't know how u guys got those wacky results but mine sound about dead on based on my location....in comparison in the same city with similar weather my chrysler with intake ran a best of 13.9 and averaged low 14's....my Jeep has a few more mods including predator.....crank horsepower would equate to 13hp above stock crank hp...from intake/catback/predator......


It's all in the technique of how u postion the phone....you have to calibrate it in the options...then i hold it on the middle console flat(face up) aiming forwards and hold it there tight while i drive with the left hand

There are several variables that can throw off the #s. It has to be positioned in your vehicle with the screen perfectly perpendicular to the direction you're going otherwise the G-meters will measure movement in two directions. It has to be almost hard mounted to your vehicle (no sliding or really even vibrations as these will throw off your G-meters) and your vehicle weight and drivetrain loss also need to be accurate. Like YoungMedic23 pointed out, it can give pretty good #s if everything is done just right.

Still pretty amazing they can do this with a phone.

I have two iPhones and two SRT8s Matt lol! :D:D:D Just fockin wit ya...:D They do take some pretty good pics though.

hows texting and driving on the iphone. also does it work with the bluetooth. I'm picking one up as soon as I can figure out where to buy one its soo confusing.

I have no issues with the Jeep, just my wifes phone and her Charger. You can text and drive, but I wouldn't advise it. :D
