Does anyone have a fix for the seat belt chim on the 2007 GC SRT-8? It is not in the 2007 manual and I tried the 2006 process and it did not work.

Does anyone have a fix for the seat belt chim on the 2007 GC SRT-8? It is not in the 2007 manual and I tried the 2006 process and it did not work.
Some of the manuals have incorrect information...

The Correct procedure is:
1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position and buckle the driver's seat belt.
2. Turn the ignition key to the run position. Do not start the engine.
3. Wait for the seatbelt lamp to go out.
4. Unbuckle and buckle the seat 3 times within 10 seconds ending with the seatbelt buckled (be sure the seatbelt light cycles on/off while buckling).
5. Turn the ignition key off and a single chime will be heard to confirm the programming.

Did mine according to resume and it worked on the first try,I also did it on my brothers 05 300c worked perfectly.

Excellent info.....

Now to figure out how to turn off the stupid speed warning chime at 120kph. Anyone have any hints on how to disable the speed chime or turn it off altogether **?

** To disable the speed chime you change the region code. Saudi laws require a 120KPH speed chime**
Since I do all my racing in Bahrain, I talked the dealer into changing the region.... no more speed chime!

When I did mine, it took 4-5 clicks of the seat belt before it worked....just play around with the number of clicks if 3 don't work the first time.....

My problem was that i was doing it while standing outside the stupid truck,then after 20 times, i got a brianstorm to try it while sitting in the truck itself...it worked the first time...it's not easy being italian...lol

wonder if this will work on the 08

WOOT! It works for the 08 as well. I asked the dealer about this and they said it could not be done on the 08's I tell ya, I think I am going to take this thing to a different dealer to make sure I am not missing on those 08 updates that came out, that my dealer said were non existent for my GC

its not workin with me i did it 4 times it didnt work maybe its not for the export model

It took me a couple times to get it. Just follow the instructions to the letter and you'll have it. If your getting the speed chime at 120kph, it can be disabled as well but requires talking the dealer into changing your region setting. I did international other....

Yessssss!!!! I have an '08 and it worked for me too. I did three the first time and it did not work. I think I did it 5 times for good measure the second time and it worked.:D
