Just traded my 06 Trailblazer SS for a 07 SRT8 with 16K on the clock. All I have to say is the SS is a serious POS compared. I'm not kidding. There is so much more refinement over the SS it's not even funny. I had efans, dyno tune, corsa and a K&N on the SS and it would not even come close to touching this SRT8. I'm in love. I also posted a pic of my other love: C6 :)

It's funny that I have not even looked at the C6 since I got the SRT8. I just can't get over how awesome it is. It's an incredible piece of machinery.

I've also got a 08 Lexus GX470 for the wife and I can't get over how many more cool things this Jeep has even over that car. It's amazing. Factory remote start! You've got to be kidding me. Awesome!

I got a lot of fast cars lol! People make fun of me that my C6 and SRT8 are both Silver but I love both of them. Jealousy.

Congrats on the new addition! I just got my SRT less than a week ago also and so far I've been loving it, it truly is a blast to drive. Your C6 looks awesome too.

This is my first silver vehicle ever and so far I love it, I can already tell it will be way much easier to keep clean than the black '05 GC 5.7L I had.

Welcome aboard! I know EXACTLY how you feel - I sold my 06 TBSS earlier this year and got the SRT8, and I LOVE IT!! Like you, I had my TBSS modded out a bit and it still didn't compare to even a stock SRT8. I'm almost ashamed at how long I had to debate before finally making the switch.

Glad to have ya over here. Vette owner's are all over the place. A good majority think they belong to an ultra-elite super car club. The thing with the vette is that it's not a super car (well maybe the new zr1), it is a car just about anybody can afford to grab. Alot of the cats arguing with you look to be running a few cars that are a couple of years old - hell I could go drop 25k on an 03-04 right now- is that ultra elite?

There a few cats over here that will jump on you, but most of 'em really know their $hit and the make-up sessions are quick. Main thing is over the last little while it has developed into a site where everyone can speak their minds without gettin banned (except matt). Again, nice ride- any mods planned?

Yeah, I can't beleive they would ban you that quick after 4 years.....what bs! You got to expect some bashing from the vette guys cause they will regularly geat beat by our trucks at the strip (especially the 1/8th)!!!!!! Seems like a lot of people have tranny problems on them, and from what I've read with all those mods you had the TBSS shoulda been faster(if only by a little) than the SRT8. But of course that's all based on TBSS guys talking numbers so maybe they're liars!

Here's an odd thing, you hear about TBSS guys trading up the GCSRT8s, but never SRT8s to TBSS. Wonder if that says anything...

That's a good question. Here is the bottom line. The TBSS is not near as refined as the SRT8. The only way I can compare this is like driving a Lexus to a chevy. Seriously. I just bought my wife an 08 Lexus GX470. The SRT8 is in the luxury class of that car. The seats feel great, everything is tight and wraps around you in the SRT8. The TBSS is just a regular Trailblazer body. The inside is just too roomy for me. I love how the SRT8 has a much more sloping windshield. This truck really reminds my of my 95 Mitsubishi eclipse GSX. You can tell Mitsubishi has had a lot to do with the design of this truck. Well at least Jeep took a lot of their ideas. The exhaust not on the SRT8 blows away the trailblazer and my C6. It is perfect. I even had a Corsa on the SS. I have the NPP bi mode exhaust with the mild to wild on the C6. No comparison. I would rather listen to the SRT8 way over any of the LS2's. I'm the kind of guy that tells it the way I see it. If the TBSS was even close to the SRT8 in any category I would say it. It is close in one category! Gas consumption lol. I AVG'd 11.5 on the SS. I had the tranny blow on my SS at 15K. I had a lot of problems with mine. Fuel sending unit went out and ect ect ect. The only thing I like better about the TBSS over the SRT8 is the doors shut nicer and crisp kind of like a lexus. The jeeps are terrible. Reminds me of my old 99 firebird lol. Other things about the SRT8 that make it far superior: REmote start on the key fob, auto down and UP windows. Auto close on the sunroof, sirus over XM. Much much better nav and stereo. This may all sound like little things but they are awesome when switching over. I just keep asking myself, why didn't I buy one sooner! The other thing that is awesome about the sRT8 over the TBSS is the throttle response and the torque. The SS just feels like it is struggling where as the SRT8 just has the muscle. You can actually spin the rear tire with the SRT8 from a dig. It's incredible fast off the line. The SS is nothing like this in any power category. Some may not like this but it is all the plain and simple truth. I honestly feel proud to have one. I do not feel that way even with the vette.

I would post a video over there but I'm banned! lol It would not really matter. They would just ban you if you posted a video. Even if you own a C6 they hate you if you have a SRT8. I had no idea the hate runs so deep in the Corvette world for Mopar. This is my first Mopar and I love it. I may be a Mopar man for life. I'm very impressed with the quality.
