SBM looks like a HORSE of a different color. Blue, dark Blue, gray, etc.

congrats on the new ride and welcome to club dude!!!!! I saw that one at a dealer near me looks better in person over the pics no offence. But you gotta remove the dealer tag on the back. use a hairdryer to heat it up so it wont leave a mark or just go to the dealer and tell them to take it off . That was the first thing i did. when i picked mine up, before i left the lot, told them the dealer tag gotta go, along with the plate covers that said there name, they were like why, i said, well first it looks different, and i didnt pay 40grand to be your poster boy, unless you want to pay me per mile for free advertising lol

Yep, the color looks better in person...but the pics are decent.

SBM sort of looks different depending on the light, so it's cool.. kinda like I'd imagine a blue chameleon would look :)

You are not heating up the paint enough to burn it, just enough to soften the tape behind the emblem. Use some floss to get behind the emblem.

Front plate laws vary by state, California states you shall have one.

still not sure about about the blue?
Have to see it in the flesh before passing final judgement though.

got my badges off by simply running fishing line behind them, no heating needed. Cleaned up carefully with wd40 and finally polished to smooth and blend
I am still running with no front plate in CA, I know I am pushing my luck but it looks SO much sweeter without one.

you do need a front plate in Mass (unless you have an old plate with green text). You need it on for inspection, and you can get pulled over and get a ticket for not having one, but a lot of people hate the look so they just take a chance since the fine isn't too bad.

since I'm in Mass it looks like I'm stuck with the front plate...

I'll deal with the dealership tag this weekend - hopefully it will be easy to get off..

on another note, my SRT8 is the most badass fun car I have ever driven!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll be hitting 300 miles today(recomended breakin period in the manual), so I should finially be able to open the beast up! :D

That SBM is absolutely awesome. I think you just made up my mind for me.

I always like to get my trucks in black and there are probably good re-sale reasons for that as well, but that SBM is awesome. Kind of like the Steel Grey or Graphite Gray on the Chevy Trucks and BMWs that I love so much.
