Hey guys. So i'm in the market for a new car and i have two cars narrowed down. An 08 C6 and an 07 Black SRT8 Jeep. I've driven both cars and i seriously can't decide between either of them. The SRT8's alittle cheaper but the corvette is worth the money.

So i've come here for some guidance from you guys. What do you LOVE about your cars? What do you hate? I would love all the input from you guys as i can get. Thanks

It's super fast, has back seats and a cargo area, and any minor probs won't bother me as much b/c I love the Jeep so much! I guess it'll depend on what your needs will be. Do you need more than a sports car or just a weekend warrior type? Hell, the Jeep is both of those!! :D:D

I love my Jeep and it fits my needs perfectly. If I did not need the back seat and cargo room I would get the vette...

I love the AWD. Theres no beating the feeling of a launch when it actually hooks and shoots you off the line like a slingshot.

I hate the interior quality. The plastics are very cheap. I always worry that the door panels are gonna break when I pull on them. Then again, interior quality for the Vette is pretty ****ty too.

Totally 2 different rides for sure it just comes down to what kind of ride you really need both are great choices

Is the vette stipped? I love the Jeep, but a vette is a vette. :D

Jeep...you get more of an oh sh!t look form others when you take off so fast from a red light...people expect that from a vette!

The sleeper factor is very tough to beat. Everyone knows what the vette looks like.

stick with the SRT8-vettes are all over and depending what city or town you live in-you don't see many SRT8 Jeeps. I love the WOW factor from all the people who don't even realize it is a JEEp + I love all the room for the roadtrips and such(have kids-love the DVD)

If daily driver = Jeep
If fun toy = Vette

I love em both but my Jeep is my daily driver, dog hauler, snow driver, boat tower etc. Plus I just like jeeps. The exclusivity is nice on the jeep too. Few people know what they are and fewer have one. They only sell about 3000/year.

Cost of ownership on the jeep is probably lower when you consider maintenance and insurance costs. My insurance is only about $650/year. Of course you'll use more gas in the jeep so that offsets it somewhat depending on how much you drive.

Either way you can't lose. Let us know what you decide.

I wouldn't call it stripped but it doesn't have any unnecessary mods that i don't need. :D

It's a Black/Black coupe, 6spd auto, base model package.. I think it's the 1LT, LS3. It's a very very sweet ride but at the same time i love the sexiness of the SRT8 jeep. The first time i launched it i was like "Holy ****". Awd kicks ass. :D

Thanks guys. Going to probably decide by friday.

Vettes are definitely hot esp black. However, I enjoy the WOW factor whenever people see the SRT8. The Jeep is a better DD IMO. AWD, lots of room, seat 5, more capable than the vette (can actually drive off the road or go over small curbs), plus if you get one fully loaded it has a ton of great options that come in handy on a daily basis.

If I was going to buy a vette it would have to be a Z06 or a blown FRC Z51. Too many people have vettes for a stock one to be special IMO. SRT8 GC on the other hand is much more rare and quite a ridiculous vehicle to own...especially if its a DD!

I am not sure if i follow you...

anyway... you narrowed it down to 2 sweet rides

the functionality of the 2 are so different though...

if its your DD and you have no other ride i would not have the vett as an option here...

im still confused of your choices b/c they are so different from one another...

i totally agree.. and just as well with the others... more i think about it the vetts are all over the map... gcsrt8's are so rare compared to them... i thought about it for a sec and came to the conclusion this is a no brainer.... jeep all the way

How many Vettes do you see in comparison to people driving SRT8's? Anyone can own a vette.......................

HAHA! I won't let my dogs in the Jeep or near it for that matter! All my pampering is about to drive my wife nuts!! NC seems to be one of those states where the SRT Jeeps are so very few and far between! For that factor alone I am SOOOOOOOOOOO glad to have the Jeep! :D:D:D

I own an 07 SRT8 now, and I shopped a Vette in the past, when I bought an 03 SVT Cobra convertible. The Vettes are definitely nice, but in base form lack the "unexpected performance" factor of the SRT8, as other people have pointed out. The ergonomics of the Vette are a challenge too, such as contorting to get into and out of it, bottoming out on parking lot entrances (yes, worse than the Jeeps low hanging front air dam), barely fitting golf clubs, scary in bad conditions, etc. As a weekend warrior on sunny days, they are great. As a daily driver, there are lots of compromises involved. But then compromise is life, so ya picks ya poison & ya pays ya prices! Its actually a win-win decision, which ever way you go, two outstanding vehicles for the prices!
