Woo Hoo..! Finally I'm officially one of you guys now :D.

As the thread title states, my wife and I are new proud owners of a 2008 Silver Jeep SRT8 as of 7/11/08. You guys have no idea how happy my wife and I are with our new SRT (well maybe you do). And my 5 yr old doesn't want to get off that jeep, he loves it too, all he does is to talk about the SRT8 LOL.

All this years my wife and I have talked about getting an SRT8 in black, but lately we talked about getting into a different color and silver was our next choice, since neither one of us had owned a silver vehicle before, that's what we chose. So silver it is!
I can't believe all this time that I thought black was the fastest color...
j/k... Black is the fastest (proof? my 5.7L on the 5.7L side of the WKs). But I will find out what this silver one has to offer. Can't wait to take it to the track soon.
But at least the interior looks black, I love it and MYGIG is awesome!

Today I wanted to be driving the SRT more but instead I was taking all the mods off the '05 as I have to return it ASAP. The only thing left to be taken off is the exhaust and to reflash the PCM back to stock.
I was very sad putting back my old pal back to stock, I loved that jeep, I will never forget this truck, I retired it as the fastest n/a 5.7L WK that I know to go 14.3. I thought about keeping it but I owe more to keep it than what is worth, so it wasn't a good deal and I had to let it go.

Tonight my wife and I left the kids home with the grand parents and we finally took the SRT for a ride, she drove it and she is in love with it, she didn't want to give it back to me LOL .

That silver looks NICE with the tint, love that 2nd picture. Silver was my first choice actually. Black was a last minute decision and I love it but still love that silver too. Congrats on your new ride!

Is not brand new, it has 5K miles but still smells like it LOL. I got an excellent deal on it, couldn't let that pass by.

I thought the 08's came with red calipers. Guess not. Must be the '09's then. Duh.

I'm sure you guys will be doing a great on carrying the 5.7L flag.

But here's a little something the SRT8 guys here will get a kick out of it since we have guys here knocking on the 10 sec door.
I've been racing my 5.7L since 2005 and I haven't seen any other N/A 5.7L jeep to run faster than the 14.3 that I did. I thought that some one was going to brake that but it never happened in 3 yrs. That's why I'll never forget my 5.7L jeep. I'll still be looking for the day someone brakes that 14.3 n/a and with just CAI, exhaust and PCM flash that I had. Maybe soon when Diablosport decide to release a tuner for the 5.7L crowd.

Hahaha, she was right here with me reading all of your replies, and she got a kicked out of this one. She said that if I have to get her another car is has to be another SRT8. But for now she has to drive her '02 WJ, she loves that jeep too. But let's see now that she got a taste of the SRT... I wonder what would happen when she decides to let go of that jeep :confused:
