It seems to me that in order to get the discounted pricing we all got we had to agree to own the vehicle for some period of time. Do you guys remember how long a period that was?

I don't remember such a requirement.

Sounds like something the F&I guy would tell you in order for them to make $ from your purchase....But I could be wrong.

Hey, Aaron, haven't seen you for awhile!

I cannot recall such a requirement. In fact, my dealer emphasized the 30-day return policy.

No such requirement, a dealer cannot "force" or require you to keep a car that you have purchased for a specified amount of time.

I didn't think the employee/affilliate pricing was avail on SRT8's?

It was, but some dealers were greedy and didn't participate.

There is no employee pricing on the SRT line, you can get a $2000 rebate on certain 2006 models, but DCX has never offered employee pricing on SRT's.

Don't want to burst you bubble on T'givng day, but if you are a DCX employee, you of all people should do your homework, or at least a search on this and other forums before making the statement that "DCX has never offered employee pricing on SRT's". You are uninformed and incorrect. It is a choice whether to participate or not, but it was available.

I am looking at the Jeep corporate site right now and there is no EP on the 2006 or 2007 Jeep SRT nor has there ever been EP on SRT's , a dealer can discount them and call it employee pricing all he wants (don't believe the hype), but there is no EP from the corporation, and a EP would be approx. 4-5% under invoice.

And it clearly states:
Ineligible vehicles: Dodge Sprinter, Viper SRT10 Coupe, all SRT8.

Did the dealer show you the vehicle invoice, and did you pay the price marked "EP" on the lower portion of the invoice.

You had to look for a dealer willing to participate. I did so via the internet and got $5,100 off our car. It's better than a rebate, in that you save the sales tax and registration fees as well.

Was the easiest deal we have ever made, and was in and out of the dealer in a little over an hour.

That really was an excellent program and I'll look for it again in the future.

Okay, if you say so, after all, you are the DCX employee. All I can say then is that there are cetainly a lot of confused people out there both on the dealers and purchasers side. You know, kinda like things that make you go uuummm!

Did these two purportedly main line publications get it wrong too?

All I can verify is what I see on the corporate employee pricing site (Employee Advantage), a dealer can sell ANY vehicle at a loss, because he has to pay for it, if he can see fit to take a loss so be it.

But as I said before there is no EP from DCX on SRT vehicles.

At this time, no. BUT, back in June when the promotion was launched the Grand Cherokee and other SRT vehicles WERE officially included in the EP program. The Ram SRT-10 and Viper were excluded.

We got ours for 2,500 below ep price, I am entitled to the ep price and the stealership really wanted to sell it bad. Right now they are selling 2006 srt-10 rams for ep and then some with the 0% for 60 months. If anyone in the michigan area north of ohio about 50 miles would like to know where to get a new 2006 srt-10 for 10,000 under msrp with 0%, id be glad to let ya know. I was going to go buy it tomorrow but i decided against it, I really beat them up on the price, my loss your gain.

I got EP on my '06 in the begining of Sept. I did see the the orig window sticker. I have heard there was never been 0% interest.

When EP was going on during the summer, if you went to jeep.com and priced a Jeep SRT-8, the final calculation did show a 4-5K discount for EP. In fact, I bought mine 2 weeks before EP began on the Jeep SRT8 (mid June). I called DCX to ask if there was anything they could do for me since I just missed it. They said they would give me my first 2 oil changes for free. I just had to submit for reimbursement. I've only had 1 oil change so far and they did reimburse me the 97.20 my dealer charged.

You really shouldn't state that DCX has never offered employee pricing on SRT's and then follow it up with "I am a DCX employee"...there are far too many people on these boards who have no faith left in DCX and that kind of statement will pretty much cause the rest of us to lose what little we had left (especially those of us who purchased our SRT8's at EP back in July and August).

But then you back-track and say that "there is no EP from DCX on SRT vehicles", as if to say it's not available right now. I don't think anyone on this board stated that there is EP available on any DCX vehicles right now...no less SRT vehicles...it's the fact that you said DCX has never offered employee pricing on SRT's.

As jlandbl stated earlier...if you went to jeep.com and priced a Jeep SRT-8 during July and August, the final calculation did show a 4-5K discount that stated it was for EP. When you went to a participating dealer, that is the price you paid. Whether that was the actual EP price listed on the invoice or not, I don't know...I didn't see my actual invoice...but that was the EP price listed on the Jeep website and that is what I paid for my vehicle. And that price was about $5K below the sticker price, which also worked out to about $2K under what Kelly Blue Book called "invoice" pricing...sounds like EP to me...

Let me clarify this again: "DCX HAS NEVER OFFERED EMPLOYEE PRICING ON SRT8 VEHICLES", now if it looks like I'm back-tracking that should clear that up.

The only place you can see a actual EP price is on a private corporate website (not a public website) and if you are not a employee with a DCID number you cannot access them, now if you know a DCX employee have them take you to the "my price calculator" in the corporate site and they can show you any and all employee pricing on all Chrysler, Dodge, and Mercedes Benz vehicles.

So if you wanna believe you got a DCX EP on your SRT8 vehicle and it makes you feel better go right ahead.

Ignorance is bliss.

Are you an idiot or what? Can you not read? It doesn't surprise me that you are an employee of DCX and have NO IDEA of what you are talking about. By "employee" I assume that you mean you are a car salesman which would certainly explain your ignorance.

Why don't you get on your dealer website and pull up the EP documents for the promotion that took place in July and August. You can then read the following exclusion in fine print at the bottom:

"(3) Excludes Viper, Sprinter, Ram SRT 10, and 2007 models"

ONLY the Ram and Viper SRT models were excluded. ALL OTHER 2006 SRT MODELS WERE INCLUDED. Period.

Another well put response....He must not be able to read, or certainly chooses to ignore what he does. There have been enough posts with pertinent replies, enough printed info links presented, and perhaps enough said. This dude is in serious denial for some reason. No one really flamed him or dissed him, but he appears to have the only "correct" answer. If he posts again on this subject, I anticipate it swinging over into a "semantics" debate now over what the words "employee pricing" really mean. For me I am done.
Jeez...........

So what you are saying then is that when DCX has their "Employee Pricing for Everyone" sale, that everyone is not truly paying EP, huh???

Guess DCX figured that advertising "A Really Low Price that We'll Call Employee Pricing but Really Isn't" sale just wouldn't move the vehicles...

BTW StageFright, what dealership do you work for??? Just want to make sure I avoid it like the plague...
