I have a 06. When I accelerate in the manual shift mode and near redline, I shift the vehicle manually but the engine over-revs and it does not shift immediately (there is a noticeable delay). Even in automatic mode there is a delay under full throttle shifts....Anyone have this problem?
Also downshifted exiting freeway and the vehicle allowed me to over-downshift and the vehicle over-reved! I thought it was going to blow the motor! And lastly I notice either torque converter slippage or other transmission slippage under slight to moderate acceleration. HELP!

Yes, there is lag when you manually shift. If you wish to eradicate this lag, shift 500 rpm's early, and the tranny will shift near redline every time.
NOTE: Early shifting requires practice, but this type of practice never gets old :)

Also, the information center will tell you when to shift. If you watch you tach, you will see it out of the corner of your eye.

Although not track tested yet, my butt-o-meter tells me there is something to be had by pushing the throttle to 9/10ths instead of full to get the best shifts..like the torque management program isn't in effect at that throttle setting...IMHO.

I push the throttle to the floor and it shifts great at WOT, no hesitation now. TCM Change did it. Gene

While on the topic of over-revs, what is the maximum rpm the engine will go to during a brake stand? I pulled one on saturday only to have the truck give a warning buzzer and flash a red light on the dash just before I let go of the brake.

Let's see some have said the stall speed of the JGC Torque Conveter is 2100 rpm, that would be the rpm then? I've gone to 2200 so this number is questionable. MO Gene
