: Raced a Challenger Last Night and .....
Barney's SRT8 07-07-2008, 08:06 AM Killed a Challenger last night!!:D
My buddy's dad got his Challenger in this past weekend and last night we had a chance to run 'em. Four times from a dig:rolleyes: and all four times the Jeep was ahead after the 1/4 mile.
Through 1st I was 1 to 2 car lengths ahead, in 2nd he pulled about 1/2 a length on me, but after that there were no more significant gains or losses. So at the end of the race the Jeep was ahead by 1 to 1 1/2 car lengths. I LOVE our rides!!!
But let me say those Challengers are bad a** looking. But the Jeeps are better!!:D
CentralTexHemi 07-07-2008, 08:15 AM Nice, are you stock or modded
Barney's SRT8 07-07-2008, 08:30 AM 100% stock engine. Only a tint and debadge/rebadge as visual mods.
ajharman 07-07-2008, 08:39 AM :D That is nice to know
CentralTexHemi 07-07-2008, 08:41 AM cool looks like were still at the top of the SRT8 food chain-LOL
1BAMFR 07-07-2008, 08:43 AM hahahahahha, AWESOME

I would have jumped out of the jeep, pointed at his car, pissed on it, then ran away.
Then once I realized I left my jeep running with the door open, I'd go back and get in my jeep and probably drive to the bar or something for a drink.
silverbullet 07-07-2008, 09:24 AM cool looks like were still at the top of the SRT8 food chain-LOL
But I don't think for long. There is a Mopar Supercharger for them soon.
jim383 07-07-2008, 09:28 AM Plus Your JEEP IS 700 Lbs Heavier In Car Weight
CentralTexHemi 07-07-2008, 11:25 AM But I don't think for long. There is a Mopar Supercharger for them soon.
I'm just referring stock to stock, there's always nitrous for the Jeep and vortex is just about done with their Jeep S/C
shodanusmc 07-07-2008, 11:30 AM That's surprising. THe Jeep is faster from a dig and up to around 60, then the lighter LX platform will usually run away..stock for stock.
Supercharger for the CHallenger? It still has the same 6.1....therefore, it should apply to all 6.1's.
oman srt8 07-07-2008, 12:56 PM nice kill man ;)

mikeT 07-07-2008, 03:06 PM with the lx's...alot depends on the driver and traction!
SRT-MANA 07-07-2008, 03:33 PM Yes they are so slow off the line...I drove one,no match for our GCSRT..in the 1/4 anyways..
shodanusmc 07-07-2008, 05:24 PM Slow off the line? You have got to be kidding. I suppose it's all relative.

FLMAO!!!! That's funny right therrr. Cheers!! I was at the dealer today and they had a black and an orange one there. Looked like boats with wheels. It's got potential though!! The seats looked fantastic. You could give it to me, but I wouldn't buy it. Not enough "Family" room. I need AWD for when we're late to school. I need to hook and go after the light.

do you think the 3.06 gearing on the chally might have somthing to do with it?
SRT-MANA 07-08-2008, 03:11 AM did you race one yet?
No.. did you drive one yet?
Chris@LPM 07-08-2008, 05:36 AM Stock for stock the LX will start to gain just after a 100 on the Jeep. That has been my experience with several LX's in the Orlando area.

Black-sleeper 07-08-2008, 11:25 AM NICE. We all know that the Jeep is a beast from a dig...................now try that same challenger from a roll!!
:D

Matt McKenzie 08-18-2008, 07:11 AM your so full of ****,HATER:mad:
How is he a hater??? He owns a GCSRT8, and has driven a Challenger SRT8, I am sure he can tell the difference between the two. So, he is not the hater, you are the idiot!!! So, I guess I am a hater too!

I have run several 300CSRT8's as well as several Charger SRT8's stock vs. stock or mods vs. similar mods the LX's will not catch up till you are a little north of 100mph.
blackcar 08-18-2008, 11:35 AM NICE. We all know that the Jeep is a beast from a dig...................now try that same challenger from a roll!!
:D
racing from a roll is for ricers. Dragging is Dragging, funny cars don't race from a roll.
