OWNED by a SRT8

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Not the way you guys are thinking.........

So Im working last night, traveling south on 355 when my moving radar audio goes bezzerk and emmits the highest pitched sound ive ever heard it scream out (that means someone is hauling ass)......So I glance into the northbound lanes and see some type of SUV moving real good, check the radar as he gets close and it reads 137mph. Lock it in, unlock it and recheck, 142 mph.......As he blows past me, he gets a glimpse at me and hits the hooks real hard, and thats when I saw the center outlet exhaust and other cues and identified it as an SRT8. When he went past me, I almost **** in my pants it sounded so good. So I hit the cross over about 300 feet in front of me and jumped on it, well there was no way I was going to catch an SUV on the brakes from 142mph and a quarter mile behind me.......I did my best, but I got owned by an SRT8............

My question is how does he think he would of caught him, not what would you say when you did catch him?

Good Stuff.

I have been seeing what I think is an ISP two-man laser team on I-355 around Butterfield Rd. The V1 always alerts to laser, and then I see a car about 1/2 mile down the road. I think there is an ISP officer with the laser gun getting readings and the other car is the "pullover" car. Anyone else see this?

definitely hilarious....thought it might have been me until i saw it wasnt in CO. actually was hittin 120ish as i cam up on a trooper under an overpass yesterday comin home from work, had to hit the breaks pretty hard and got it down to 80ish as i went by...looked like he wasnt paying much attention at the time, maybe just there to scare people? anyway, stepped on it 50 ft later, definitely had to have heard it. ;)

ALL the time lately! Also watch for white chevy express/ford E250 vans that look like another vehicle pulled over, as they are equipped with speed cameras.

That's beautiful.

Down here they do the two man team a lot. One guy sits with the gun to nab you, the guy farther down the road pulls you over. Sometimes it's so effective they have a team of cars pulling people over. I saw this once with 5 cops cars with people pulled over after the gun guy. Was hilarious, only because I wasn't getting pulled over.

Ya. there's the other one where they put the plane up to time you between the markers on the road. No radar detectors gonna pick that up :(

The thing about those tickets is that the pilot that saw you speeding didn't sign the ticket and at court they only notified the Officer that issued the ticket so it gets automatically dismissed :D At least thats how it worked out for me.

That happened to me the other day... but that was in the Cobra. I was on the highway, and traffic was moving at a snails pace. So there is a side road that I am very familiar with, and it enters into the road with a sharp S-turn. So I downshift into 3rd, and give it hell, got it up to about 110-120, slam 4th, get up to about 140, and not a 1/4 mile up the road, I see a trooper sitting under the bridge. WTF, there is never cops on this road. I slam the brakes, downshift, and yank the e-brake, get the speed down. I passed him going 80 or so... keep in mind, the speed limit on this road is 40. I had my windows down, and as I passed him, he was just staring at me... with a smile on his face. Didn't show any signs of coming after me, so I just ripped it again, all the way home.

You yanked the e-brake?

You yanked the e-brake?

Not full blown, the cable was weak, so it would never lock up the brakes... just another means to help slow down.

They run the plane on Alligator Alley a lot now I hear.

It's funny cuz it seems like you hear more stories about cops letting people with performance cars off for speeding than actually giving tickets. Maybe there's some truth to the whole idea that "cops are really just car guy usually".
