Not sure if this has been posted here yet... a SRT8 300 with GSM's supercharger has a little story to tell:

it's all in the tune. What are they selling with the kit a piggy back ecu? who is tuning these ecu's? is anyone actually getting to a dyno to check a/f ratios after the kit is installed? These engines have a high compresion ratio and there is very little room for error with regards to the tune.

on a side note I drove a custom dyno tuned twin screwed 03 cobra for 30,000 miles that was putting down 594rwhp with no issues. Car was tuned by probably the best in the country. again its all in the tune.

i don't c why people still are running them, just wait at least till the computers can be hacked correctly, obviously that won't help with the water problem but that would be an easy fix from a reputable company... so my guess is it won't be fixed

Personally, I'm waiting until its fixed.

i don't think i could purchase it when GSM says its ready... i would deff wait for a main company to build something. votech, keene bell, whipple... anything but gsm

xInfinity!

These 6.1's can handle oodles of power. The supercharger isnt what made the motor blow up. Its the tune and the driver. Does GSM provide the tune for these as well?

The stock Mustang GT internals are good to 420rwhp. Anymore than that and youre bound to blow it up. I know several guys making over 500rwhp with stock internals and its because of the tune. On the Kenne Bell kit for the Mustang, the air filter sits down by the fog light. Which sometimes is no more that 4" from the ground. This guy is an idiot for driving through puddles. If he knew how low his filter is then why is he driving through puddles?

Sucks no less but its his fault not GSM's

Im not to sure I agree its GSM-Even if the air intake was low, I, the driver, should know not to run thru puddles/lakes/bayous or any other area that holds water. Many cars carry the air intake low. The driver should be careful-or remove the low intake.

The rev limiter missing needs to remind the driver(again) to not over rev the engine. Yes, it should have been there, but it is the drivers responsibility to drive correctly..

And WTF is "rev limter" and "water in low intake" doing together in the same sentence/post? It is either one or the other that blew the engine. If the owner claims "both" I claim "BS".
