Fahad of BDRC fame?

Welcome to the forum..... Export editions are slightly different than the States. :) Not sure when I will get to the @#$@# dealer here but need to make another trip soon. I'll snap some pic's of the one they have on display.

Nitro,

Longtime buddy.

I got an 07 SRT which i bought from the states but my cousin loved it so much he said that he'll keep it. casuse he is studying in Boston.

So, i'm looking in getting a new blk SRT.

I like the export editions much better than the States version. I'd be hard pressed to give mine up. Although, the dealer has more than ticked me off here. I was thinking of maybe checking out the dealer there to see if I can actually get service.

The only drawback is you'll want to pick up better wheels and tires. Last time I checked you could not purchase the stock runflats locally. I could only find the goodyear non-runflat version in the correct size.

Since, I have purhased 22" for my daily driving and ordered tires out of the states to replace the factory stockers for the track.

Next time they have an open track you should come out and play!

I will need to go ask the dealer here and findout if the 09 SRT's are the same as the one's in the states. ( interior i.e. 9'' Touch Screen , Speakers...etc )

I know here in Saudi they won't import the ones with DVD/NAV. They claim they can't get the maps. I have a portable that I use so don't need it.

There is a big difference on exports versus US models so you'll really need to dig. Resume speed seems to be the authority here for what's new. See his post for 2009's US edition.

just had a chat with the dealer here and they said that the cost is $56,000

for that price you woulf think that the beast would come fully loaded with everything but guess what ..... NOT

245 tires
Boston Radio
Grey Interior ( 07/08 )

I'm better off getting one from the States..... cost much less and with all options

Damn they order the low options from the states and sell them as if they are fully loaded. such BS

I think your going to have a problem with maps if you import one. Plus... you really need to see the differences on the finish between US and exports. The US is really plastic(y) and to me seems really cheap compared to our finish. I didn't pay US$56K....

They sold like crazy so the dealers here marked them up stupidly. I only paid US$44K.

We might be able to get you a similar deal with the guys here.

Yeah.... The guys here tell me the fire extinguisher is what they do to expats. I was told it's a country requirement here. I had to remove it because it catches on my wifes purse.

At least they put in a proper seat\bracket mount. The Mazda 6 we bought they just used a box cutter to cut the carpet and drilled holes into the floor pan. Grrrrr.....

Is that a track rated emblem on the side? The dealer had actually put trail rated emblems on one of the SRT8's here. I advised them to remove it because if someone like me bought it and tried taking it off road they would never hear the end of it....
