I thank god everyday. 2 years ago My daughters mother called me. I couldnt understand anything she was saying. Some guy took the phone and tells me she just got slammed on the pass. side shes ok and my baby was fine. I flew out my job. That train right to get to my car felt like it took forever, but its only a 20 minute ride from NYC to Bklyn. Ate every light on the way to the hospital. The crazy thing was the car was two weeks old and she just left the dealer where she had the car seat on that side but the guy at the dealer told her to move it cause thats where most hits come from. 15 minutes later look what happens. My baby would have been hurt bad if she was still on that side. I never got the chance to thank that guy. I gotta see if i can find the pics of the car.

Thank God the wife is ok. The window tint saved the glass from shattering and the pieces didnt fly all over the place. The car you can always replace. So what you going to do with the insurance check? What car? Down payment on a Challenger?

Thanks for the good wishes fellas, after a full inspection as per Jred's request I can tell ya the wifey is all good.:bananahump-slvrathl That was my going to be my keeper benz, oh well time to shop for a new ride now. That benz was seriously built like a tank though. One of the witnesses that saw the crash said he thought there would be serious injuries after that hit.

Forgot to mention that the cop was a real biatch. She gave the wifey 2 tickets, one for failing to yield, understandable I guess, and the 2nd. was for not showing her the insurance card. We tried telling this biatch that the glove compartment could not open cuz it was pushed in from the side.

Sorry if I offend anyone (Tamara), but it seems female cops are the worst because they feel they have so much to prove!!! WTF!!!!!

Haha, no worries, but I am going to debate you on this....What do they have to prove that men don't? Don't you think men are worse? I will admit, some women police officers are B*TCHES, but I meet more men that get this HUGe ego because they have a gun on their waste...

When I got in my accident and my car went up in flames, I too had a woman officer at the scene and she said by law she has to give me a ticket for no proof of insurance, but she felt bad so she gave me 24 hours to get the info to her...So Matt, not all women cops are b*itches! :p

You are absolutely right Tamara, not all of them are! There are male cops out there that are jerks too, I know this. In all of my experiences getting pulled over though, the female cops always give me the worst time, and I am always compliant and curteous to cops. So, maybe I shouldn't have steroetyped, just said what I have had experience with.

She was turning left and the old dude that was driving with his VERY hot daughter(30 ish) was trying to beat the light. Both their airbags went off, no injuries either.

if he ran a red light then why did your wife get a failure to yield?

GodfatherSRT8
06-26-2008, 02:31 PM
if he ran a red light then why did your wife get a failure to yield?

Because according to the officer he has the right of way since he was going straight and she(my wife) should have waited until he either crossed the intersection or came to a complete stop.

**Update**

Got the call saying the car is totaled and the estimate to fix it was close to 15g. Now waiting for State farm to cut me a check.

promo718
06-26-2008, 02:51 PM
state farm pays alright, you should be fine with them. they processed a total loss (theft) for one of my bikes and everything went without a hitch. pretty fair value estimate and quick turnaround.

as for the fault, it makes no sense to me that your wife got the violation if the other guy ran a red, as she had the right of way, hence not violating his.
