Any Cherokee SRT8's in Califonia SF Bay Area? Trying to find one to look at in person but none of the dealerships around have any currently.

Also, what other forums do people visit as far as GC SRT8s?

I found this one first, and then searching around also found these:

Thanks!

So far I can think of 4-5 Jeep SRT8 owners in the whole Bay Area.
-myself (silver, South Bay)
-Hows2nd (silver w/zoomers exhaust, East Bay)
-Laddcruzer (silver, Santa Cruz)
and a few others...

After talking to Hows2nd we were thinking of doing a Jeep SRT8 meet in the next month or so. Also in the next few weeks (weather permitting) we might make a trip up to Sears Point for some Weds night racing...

I know about the codes and allocation to the dealer, but what kind of time has it been taking everyone to actually get their ride?

I own a black one in the bay area but I purchased it from out of state.

I was on the list with 5 Bay Area dealers since May of '05 with deposits down at all of them. After waiting and waiting with no confirmed build date or VIN# given, I decided to give up last Feb and asked for all my deposits back after waiting 9 months with little to no information.

Toward the end of Feb a friend of mine who lives in Baton Rouge, LA called and told me that a new black, silver and red Jeep SRT8 were sitting at his local dealer (Henderson Jeep) and for me to call and try to purchase one of those. After a two days of swapping paperwork FedEx overnight (at the dealers cost), I was able to secure the purchase of the silver one. After everything was said and done, I paid 4k over MSRP (5-8+k less then what the bay area dealers wanted) and I had to pay for the enclosed shipping (1k) and $110 dealer smog test (per CA requirements) for CA registration. All-in-all, it took exactly 7days from first phone call to delivery at my door from Baton Rouge and I could not be any happier. Dealing with the local Bay Area dealers comes at a cost, both financially and time wise!

I'm a new member. I just got a black one about two weeks ago.
