Tried embedding the video in the forum but had no luck.
Spins through first gear out to the 100' mark, then takes off in second gear in 90 degree air.
Thanks Kooks!

It's a local shop owner here in town near us. I raced this N.A. 426 Jeep at Atco two weekends ago for our NMCA race and this was one of my qualifying runs. This was launching at around 2000 rpm in extreme heat - the track temp the next two days went up to around 130 degrees with the heat wave we had. In cooler air, this Jeep rocks.

Amazing that the jeep can "lift the tire" with just one wheel in the back having traction.

Hate to disappoint you but my 6.1 can do that.
I actually was expecting a real high lift.

Was that a 12.84?
For a $10k+ motor i'd expect much better even with wheel spin.....

For a $10k+ motor i'd expect much better even with wheel spin.....What would you expect out of a N.A. 426 that spins wheels for 100' then takes off in second gear in low rpm's where it's way out of the powerband - on a hot day with high humidity and around a 2000' to 2500' DA? Times are just relative to conditions. This Jeep ran 12.5's in 130 degree track air temp (heat wave) and a 2900' DA the next day. On a 70 degree day with a 0' DA we would have been probably mid to low 11's easily - give me a 40 degree, negative 2000' DA like we saw this Spring a few times and I think we could actually see high 10's.
Blown7, how much boost are you running on your 6.1L to get it to lift? When we launch at 3000rpm the wheel goes a good bit higher but this was the only video Kooks took that weekend and the only launch I did at over 1000rpm due to the wheel spin. Any videos of you lifting? I would love to see it.
