I'm sure it's not new news to anyone on this forum; but jeepers this truck is really quick from the dig. For me the the defining moment was when (after driving it for 50 kms) mashing the petal my wife's feet actually came off the floor, pinned her to the back of the seat while she flayed for the suicide handle (to no avail) ... after a couple of seconds she even saw the humour in the situation (mind you it did take her a couple of moments).

Owned the truck for 6 hrs now ... loving every minute. Oooops, the kids want to go for a spin; se ya !!!

I agree! This is one horsey beast, to be sure! And it loves low gears!! :D

Did a first on my way home tonight. Came into a left turn near home, which shoots into a bridge... I usually get through it and mash the gas; all good.

Well, tonight something different happened... The pavement is wet and I come into the turn just a little quicker than normal, and just before I get this thing lined up, I get into the gas, not WOT, but a pretty healthy dose. Well the bloody back-end came undone on me, and I'm now drifting up this bridge, and the back-end is still catching up to the front-end on the right!!

Had this not been on a bridge, with cars parked on the right, I might have waited to see if the power gets shifted to the fronts as advertised, and it comes around, but I wasn't in no waiting mood!

Got my foot out of it and she straightened out in no time/no effort with a little counter-steer, which was good news! The guy behind me in the intersection must've been pretty curious as to what I was doing at that point!! Of course, I was too...

Not sure many passengers would have seen any humour in that one! Kind of took me off guard to be honest! Wake up call for snow-time, need to respect the straight-up cojones of the SRT8!!

LOL-- great visual. I actually had a similar experience. I mashed it once, and my wife's hair all shot back a bit. Kinda looked like she was running really fast :)

Similar story.

I was taking a couple of coworkers for a ride and at a stop light one of them decided to lean over and tie his shoe or something like that, so i stepped on it out of the light and he flew back and hit his head on the seat...classic moment

The opposite for me, I had a buddy lean forward to tie his shoe, I had to hit the brake a little hard due to some ahole cutting me off. He hit his head nice on the dash. Our dashboards are tough, no marks.
