Mine is fine and I am almost at 30K.....but a chrome steering wheel cover for Ace would look good!

Mine started doing the peel thing after only a few hundred miles. I suspect my wedding ring started it. I asked that it be covered under warranty and even got a call from Chrysler corp... problem was I was on vacation at the time and didn't get back to the dealer to follow up. Last couple visits the dealer didn't do anything.....

I had the same issue...bought it to the dealer...they replaced in under warranty...the only problem was since it is a special order vehicle, they had to wait for the factory to hace a certain mount demanded so they could tool up a set amount...took about 2-3 months.

It's a Jeep Commander steering wheel, nothing special.

Dealer will easily replace it under warranty, it is a known problem. The dealerships and DCX are totally aware of the problem. That is why they changed them in 2008

Same problem on mine after 15k. Dealer put in order for new one two days ago. My concern is if the new one is the same thing.. how long will it last?

Maybe a new wheel skin or cover will protect it or cover it if it starts again. I sure don't want to pay $500+ for a new one. Anyone found a better option?
