Went this past Saturday in Houston. Well run event with a feeling of excitment in the air..First, the gripes:

No Viper/Srt-10 to drive. Although they did a burnout exhibition that was kinda nice.

No shutting off of the traction control. Yea, I know why, but it still woulda been nice.

Test track was way too short. Oh well...

Now for the goods:

Most of the workers were performance enthusiasts/racers. No, not the greeters. The folks from DMX who helped watch us fools drive

All the other SRT choices were drivable, even a Black GC. Even if there were only 2 "tickets" per person for the SRTs. Al the other cars you could drive as much as ya wanted.

Well run, well thought out and a ton of good stuff to look/play/drool with.

Lines were not that bad, although the Crossfire line was wacked **more on this later***

Cookies, coffee and cuties. :D

The lil' hottie who escorted me and my daughter in the SRT-8 C. Mmmm...long black hair...and she races!

The very nice retired racer guy who drove the Viper...great convo..thnx.

NOTES: By far and not even a contest, the GCSRT sounded the best and nicest of all the SRT vehicles out there for public driving. My wife and I, son (7) and daughter(13) knew the GC was on the take off each time it left, without even looking. It was that nice/different/good.

Some one please explain to me why the line for the Crossfire was HUGE but the lines at the dealership for said vehicle are non-existent? It is basicaly a M/B SLK with MOPAR badges. Nice to sit in, goes like stink (SRT) and looked fun as heck to drive. Someone at MOPAR needs to address this issue quick. If I were the designer, I would be pissed if/when they killed this car with that type of interest in it at the track.

All in all a great time and worth every penny i spent on it. (Yes, I know)

Coolest moment: Track worker guy waving me in to the entry area...thought I was a MOPAR rep with another track tester. Sorry, Inferno beats black, hands down...

Nah-It was the DMX promotinal tour to get folks to try the cars/trucks that are available. Just a bunch of vehicles to play with for a moment...

I have no idea but I am glad...I picked up a brand new CF 3 months before I bought my GCSRT8 for $29,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The dealer gave it away because it sat on the lot for 14 months.
