AutoMag 11-06-2006, 06:33 AM I was building an GCSRT8 on jeep.ca and noticed there is a $175.00 option (cheep!) for a full-size spare tire. Can any of our Canadian brothers shed some light on this? Where in the world would a full size spare be kept?? :confused: jstfly 11-06-2006, 07:04 AM I tried to order it but on the order sheet from DC it states late availability so it was not available in Sept 06 yet. But the interesting news is that it is even on there and the dealer says once it is available you can order it. Where it would fit they don't know. I ordered the full size spare so will know what it looks like / how it is mounted (or just thrown in the trunk) in a few hours. The dealer wanted to refund the $175 ... I told him to keep the $ and deliver the spare to me once the factory releases them. We'll see what happens ... AutoMag 11-06-2006, 06:46 PM There ya go. Dealer indicates that the full size spare tire option on the Canadian order sheet was a DC Canada mistake. They are pleading with me to take back the $175. I called several other dealers all of which had the same story ... it did seem to good to be true to be able to buy a $1500 wheel for $175. Toying with the idea of playing with the dealer a bit to see what else might be on the table but not entirely sure I have the energy for it. | ||
