Has there ever been a CAI thread?:D
I would say read posts and see what is in everyone's signature.

I'll say this, don't buy the DUB or the Mopar.

Doesn't mean don't buy the Jeep SRT8 you have been looking for just because of the CAI that is currently installed on it. If the Jeep is everything you wanted except for the CAI, go for it man. A CAI can always be changed in the future. It is relatively easy to change and fairly cheap.
I would suggest a BWoody intake. Seems like the majority among members here. Good luck!
wow, this is like some kind of joke, right?

I would suggest a CAI with a sticker on it, if it doesn't come with a sticker, sell your GCSRT8!!!!

You know it's kinda funny that a lot of people poke fun at the Mopar CAI. I have one on my 06 and my Dashhawk tells me that the Ambient Air Temp(outside air) and the Intake Air Temp( air temp measured by the intake air temp sensor) are usually within a few degrees of each other. Sometimes they are exactly the same after a short time of steady state cruising. The IAT sensor is in the stock location. HOWEVER, I have insulated the metal piping, the air box, and the IAT sensor with an efficient insulating material. I also installed a larger K&N filter and partitioned the passenger side of the front grill opening to feed air to the modified air box. The Mopar CAI may have been a marginal performance gain originally but it can be tweaked to perform better without ANY concern for hydrolocking.:)

I like the Mopar. Can't say that I have ever seen enough convincing evidence among the more popular choices that one CAI is all that much better than another performance-wise. Being that I am in a rainy climate, the Bwoody is out of the question.

I was just snoop'n around and saw this. I think I saw a thread on this already but is this NOT an actual pic of the current Mopar CAI? Is it still the same or did they go with a longer tube to get it down low like BWoody?

Never mind.....Looked at it again and it doesn't look like it would even work on our rigs.

I believe that's just a generic picture ;)
