: Get Tuuned by DynoSteve in DuBois PA
luvr 6.1 06-05-2008, 08:43 PM Yes that is right I am getting a list of potential names of induviduals who are very interested in getting their vehicles tuned by DynoSteve and MatFab when they start their NationWide Tour. They need more than just one person,me, to stop and make a day out of tuning cars. So if interested place your name on the list and when I get more information on a date I will let you know. The shop is "Predator Performance" in DuBois PA.........I have been there for some dyno runs and the shop and the techs are fantastic, check the link
http://icpusa.icpusa.net:227/main.htm
Here is the List:
1. luvr6.1 a.k.a. 6.1luvr Butler,PA (Definite)
2. gspot17 (Definite)
3. LouZ (Definite)
dynosteve 06-15-2008, 03:38 PM this will be open to any vehicles also
sdejulia 06-16-2008, 09:28 AM When is this Dyno-Day?
Mango 06-16-2008, 09:32 AM I'm curious, how much more performance could I get if I were to have it dyno tuned? I have a bwoody, and Borla, running 93CAI canned tune from a predator.
What would the benefit be for someone like me, not running headers or any other crazy stuff.
1BAMFR 06-16-2008, 09:33 AM Im intereted but heard it's VERY $$$
Mango 06-16-2008, 09:39 AM If it was like $200 bucks i'd be all over it, any more than that can't possibly be worth it for someone with my few mods.
MatFab 06-16-2008, 09:58 AM If it was like $200 bucks i'd be all over it, any more than that can't possibly be worth it for someone with my few mods.
you would be surprised.. ;)
Mango 06-16-2008, 10:05 AM I trust you guys, obviously, but like....can any other information be supplied other than that? Like, any power #'s? How about how much it costs?? I was expecting a much more detailed answer than that lol

:eek::eek: $475 to be "surprised"....no thanks. I'm not trying to thread crap but come on....
1BAMFR 06-16-2008, 10:11 AM I'm sure his tunes are awesome though....

Have you seen ajharman's resuts from his MHP/B&G CMR? -.532 ET/+3.75mph in the quarter the only difference being a tune. His only other mod is a BWoody CAI.
GotStroked 06-16-2008, 10:20 AM I'm sure his tunes are awesome though....
He tuned a SRT8 Challenger at the race (I heard it had H/C as well though some say it just had a converter/tune) it ended up running 13.2@106.6.
HotScott8 06-16-2008, 10:26 AM :eek::eek: $475 to be "surprised"....no thanks. I'm not trying to thread crap but come on....
Exactly what I am saying my man, $475 is a whopping $200 too much...
MatFab 06-16-2008, 10:28 AM He tuned a SRT8 Challenger at the race (I heard it had H/C as well though some say it just had a converter/tune) it ended up running 13.2@106.6.
Well lets see here. The truth.
The Chally was STOCK with only a conveter, no heads, cam or anything. STOCK exhaust, intake the whole deal. It ran a 13.02, yes the 0 before the 2 on saturday which was super ****y day. So if we play the corrections game its what a 12.7?
HotScott8 06-16-2008, 10:32 AM Well lets see here. More fixing Andys mistakes.

Why would you put a converter on a stock vehicle? That is honestly the dumbest thing I have heard today, and it makes your statement that much harder to believe. Putting a converter on a car is far from the first mod...

Fixing my mistakes? Who didn't even make it out of the staging lanes??? The 12 person entourage that you rolled in with was just icing on the cake.
Did the 13.0 come after he swapped to drag radials? Because the fastest street tire pass I saw was 13.2@106.6, which corrected to a 12.8@108.8 or so.
Funny how you grow some balls and an attitude now but didn't have anything to say in person on Saturday.

Exactly, it's retarded and makes ZERO sense.
Mango 06-16-2008, 10:42 AM OK so I'm not the only one thinking this is rediculous, and that some super critical information is missing from this thread.
Thanks guys.
Again I'm not trying to thread crap or start anything, I just wanted to see some actual, credible data/results.

I did not build it. I was just staing what was done. Actaully converters are a great mod that word much better on the LX's than the jeep.

Jeeps respond differently, the stock jeep ones work very well

We didn't go into the staging lanes. We have put over 700AWHP down and well the trans doesn't like it. We have a fix coming. And yes we came with a fair bit of people, we have friends, girlfriends, family (since it was fathers day weekend) We come to events and make it an event. Its suppose to be a family event right?
And no the 13.02 was stock tires. I'm sorry you didn't see it.
P.S. I am not here to argue, just give the plain true FACTS of what happened, not he said or she said

Cool. That must've been earlier in the day when the DA was a bit lower. The 13.2@106.6 came about ten minutes before my 13.04@104.07.
GotStroked 06-16-2008, 11:54 AM Sorry to jack your thread Kayce!

Not a problem Andy..... the Challenger did go the 13.0 on the first run because I was next in line behind it and have the slip for the first 8-9 runs. They could not give us slips at the booth (computer was backed up) so we had to go to the tower and get a computer print out with about 18 total cars and all their times.

Gotcha. I remember that because you raced Steve I believe who didn't get a slip either. That was in 2200' DA air, lucky bastids. ;):p
I'm heading back this wednesday for redemption. High temp is forecasted to be 71 with lows in the mid 50s!!! :D
mikeT 06-16-2008, 05:25 PM make sure it's a 4wd dyno.... I was warned that problems could occur if the jeeps are put on the 2wd dyno (disabling esp and unplugging transfer case)
aplatero1984 06-16-2008, 06:10 PM well? was the verdict? is it a good deal or no?

COL P 06-20-2008, 05:18 AM Will he (DynoSteve) be continuing his trip to the East coast. Can we set something up at HHP or BWoody for thos of us that can't make that trip?
mondo 06-21-2008, 11:05 AM Let me know when and how much.........
luvr 6.1 06-21-2008, 04:31 PM Let me know when and how much.........
Mondo, MatFab is getting the route schedule as we speak and "gspot17" is going to get tuned also, we just need to see the dates from Bryan "MatFab" to get it all scheduled.
The dyno tune is $475 and the dyno is $100 an hour. One hing from my understanding, which is awesome, is that dynosteve will make adjustments with out charge after the first tune.
Let me know to Get your name on the list for a great tune and a great shop!

hey mate i'm at hhp right now for the week just give me a call 561-251-6306
luvr 6.1 06-22-2008, 09:41 AM So what your saying is that its going to be $575......?
Yes........but if you have mods and want your truck on the cutting edge of performance and unlimited revisions to the tune for future mods, this the way to go IMO. He builds the tunes from idle through WOT......just not WOT.

mondo I will let you know when the dates are released, would you want me to add your name to the first post as a maybe? This will allow MatFab and Bryan to see we have an interest here in PA for tuning?

Yeah, add me as a maybe
Hey guy's, there should be no "maybe" about it. Steve is a master at tuning and knows the CMR software inside and out. You will not be disappointed! He has worked on my Jeep for almost a week, and it makes so much power now, we can't keep a tranny in it, LOL. I hope he does not get worn out on this road trip!! Because I need him back in Michigan in a few weeks!!

Well said BJB......... I seen your jeep in Ohio, just crazy sick! I was there when dynosteve and I'm not sure who the other peson was, came back after the tranny lost second gear on Saturday, I about crapped myself when dynosteve said they had the front wheels off the groud with 1/4 throttle.
Don't sit on the fence if you want a great tune and your in the PA area, especially for the fact that this is a state of the art "All Wheel Drive" dyno which for us jeep owners is a must!
luvr 6.1 07-09-2008, 09:36 AM Bump!!!!.....added another person to the list. The date is "Saturday" July12th.
veyronSRT8@TTCreations 07-09-2008, 11:03 AM Exactly what I am saying my man, $475 is a whopping $200 too much...
yup...fo' shizzle dizzle
...but dont think i dont want to see some pre/post numbers.
MatFab 07-09-2008, 11:19 AM On our way soon, Just stopped by Niagara to tune for customcaddys. See you on Saturday as we have some pretty powerful cars and trucks coming out for Saturday.
MatFab 07-09-2008, 11:49 AM Exactly what I am saying my man, $475 is a whopping $200 too much...
You get what you pay for. Unfortunately most of our customers call us after already paying for a "custom tune". Would be cheaper to have it done right the first time.
