Is there any way to bypass u-connect when a passenger wants to make a call using the cell phone only? Power 'on or off' does not do anything. U-connect activates automatically as long as there is a key in the ignition. I've checked the manual and can find nothing on this.

You have to turn it off via the phone itself. Hopefully it is easier on your phone than on my Motorola. The morons who designed the phone put the UConnect on/off feature deep into the menus and it's a total pain in the ass to get to.

:D Turn off the blue tooth on your phone. I have used a few phones in the truck and if you dial the # from the phone, the phone should ask if you want to retrive the call in the phone.

You could also simply turn the volume all the way down once the Bluetooth connects.

On mine there is no volume on the phone when connected, I can't use the phone at all for talking or listening.
You could also simply turn the volume all the way down once the Bluetooth connects. If you turn it down, you will affect both the phone and the uconnect. on mine anyway, Resume speed answer worked for me, so maybe others can try it. thanks for the help, that is what this site so good. Pops

Turn off BT on the phone. A good phone has a 1 button shortcut to the BT Manager.
