I'm curious about the ball joint removal. In the Jeep service manual it lists a special removal tool that is required. I'm curious if it is really required. Also looking for any other tips with regard to the install. The rears look easy enough. The fronts seem a bit tougher with the ball joint and dropping the brakes.

OK, should I just assume that everyone has had them professionally installed so far or should I post this in the performance section?

I would like to know too, but I think most so far have had the springs installed at a shop.

ball joint pullerI don't think they used a ball joint puller on mine. After the wheel comes off and you unbolt the ball joint from the bottom, there is this pad on the arm that you smack with a hammer (It's made to do this) and it just pops off. Check it out...
