Just finished the 3K mile oil change...gave 'er the Royal Purple treatment. While I was under there I made some mental notes...
-Kuddos to JEEP for making this truck. The V-8 was never thought to be installed inside the engine bay. So many "home made" parts, its hard to count them all. ***Hint*** The black frame pieces.
-Nice drive shaft. Mmmm...aluminum.
-Holy Hose shortage Batman. Someone needs to lend the JEEP assembly line some rubber hose. The front axle vent tube is tight against the...
-Sexy oil pan. Mmmm..aluminum. If you take it off, it has a torque special. Use it. The ole German standard of tightness "guttentight" isn't recommended.
-Beautiful suspension..pieces and all.
-Where the heck does Kooks put the catts on long tubes? Not that under the tranny pan is ideal, but I cannot see where else it would go.
-Thanks for the E-Z to get to oil plug. KMA for the over torqued oil filter stuck at an angle above the axle. The drip gaurd is a nice touch though.
-No wonder this thing is heavy. JEEP overbuilt every bracket/frame/subframe it could. Very nice because...
-There is a ton of room for a centrifical. I will add one later.
-Is the front air dam a clip on tie? The brackets arent strong enough to hold my cell phone to my belt.
-I have been oh so careful not to park anywhere near a curb/'crete stop/speed bump...where did I get air dam scratchs from?
-Tranny pan is a beaut also...
-I could fell a wookie with that huge sway bar. Anyone got the poly bushings for it?
-Thanks JEEP-All that attention and no grease fittings for the suspension parts? Bad,bad company-go to your room.
All in all a great effort of design and engineering. Less the tranny pan cooking cat.
