My friend with a 3000gt (not vr-4) is 100% convinced that he will smoke my jeep in every race every possible. 0-60, off the line, quarter mile, etc. Im pretty sure I would leave him at the line but dont know about the rest. I've rode in his 3000 and it is pretty fast but he is pushing 200,000 miles and might break down or something.

What you guys think?

Yes he is stock. He even rode in my truck and counted how many seconds (1 one thousand, two one thousand) it took my truck to to get to 60. He counted like 7 seconds but he was counting a bit fast. After the ride all he was talking about is how bad he would smoke me. I just want to meet him at the track and shut him up. I love how people under estimate this truck.

They can be made fast but since he is stock and not a VR-4(not that that would matter) go show him what Jeep can do and get a case from him for making you waste your time and gas.

True and since then I have done that. I found 0-60 times in the 7's and 1/4 miles in the high 15's. He don't stand a chance :)

garbage. it must be something about those cars that makes the people who drive them delusional. i work with a guy who had one and claimed to have smoked a Dodge Ram SRT10 in his 3000GT(no twin turbo, again, not that it would matter). those cars are sleds, im not even really understanding why you say its kind of quick, they weigh almost 4k lbs with around 200hp.

I'm new to the site, just kind of browsing a bit. Me and Tony (thread starter), are friends in the same hometown and I know the kid he is talking about. He thinks his 3000gt would be "a good race" with my Twin Turbo 6-speed S4 with K04s (if any of you domestics know what that mean).

Anyway, you guys have some damn sweet trucks, no question about that. Tony and I are going to run as soon as my car is out of the shop. I saw a guy on here that had a 2.7t Audi in his sig, care to pipe in on who you think would win.

I have never run it but cars with the same specs run mid 12s pretty easy. The tune is good for about 400 crank hp, 430 crank tq. The best part about the turbos is that they wallop you with all of their torque from right around 2700 rpm, the dyno curves on this tune is like a freaking spike to a straight line.

Cliff notes on this car is: 12 second, 400+hp, 6 speed, AWD, station wagon.

I know I'm not exactly in my home territory, but spare the "eurotrash etc" comments. I'll post some pics up if you guys want. Anybody who knows anything about the B5 S4 chime in for sure and the outcome of a race between Tony and I.

Yea man I never got a chance to run his 3000gt. It is halarious to talk about how bad he thinks he would beat us...We should have him come out to the track next friday and run with us. That would be priceless...I would have to get it on video.

Your plate really says that? Focking awesome wynn. Majorly kick 3000gt butt. The srt will be close. I know you launch hard off the line. The SRT launches like a smacked up biotch off the line...sore neck sometimes haha and hold on the the wheel or bad things happen haha

From a dig will be a site to see...either way we both have bad rigs that will spank about anything off the line and leave them behind us for a good while.

From a roll the jeep is real strong from about 30 or 40. Highway roll ill be reading that plate of your bud

I have a front euro plate that reads "S4 Bi-Bye". Since S4's are German spec they have cutouts for their long ass plates on the front bumpers which is where I have it.

I applied for the vanity plate but since that takes a year, so I have awhile before I get the real deal.

GT S4's are no joke. Too bad a GT kit is like 15.5k, thats more than the value of an S4 now days. A K04 (what I have) powered S4, with a solid tune, can make a solid 450whp, similar to the one in the video above. Even though that one is getting its ass romped on, there is about nothing on the street that can hang with it.

WBSRT- What year is your car and is it 6-speed or tip? If its tip, going with AWE/GIAC, they have a nice "tip chip" which really improves performance for the tranny. If its 6 speed, GIAC has a more aggressive tune, which isn't as smooth as APRs, but GIAC also makes more power. No matter which you get, you will be astonished at the performance gains. You will add a solid 60-70 crank hp and a 70-80 crank tq. It's unbelievable.

My dad used to have a 320HP stealth twin turbo. Love that car. It was pretty fast in the day but the SRT8 would even smoke that thing anywhere. My dad drove my jeep a couple of weeks ago and agreed. You have nothing to worry about with the other. It's actually a waste of time and gas lol. You will have him wearing a bridal gown getting Ass Plowed in no time.
